Fox News host Sean Hannity allegedly received help from the US Department for Housing and Urban Development to carry out multimillion dollar real estate deals, according to a report by The Guardian.The Guardian reported Sunday that Hannity is linked to a web of shell companies that spent at least million buying more than 870 homes across seven states over the past 10 years. The newspaper said it reviewed thousands of pages of public records to piece together Hannity's alleged property portfolio.The Fox News host bought two apartment complexes in Georgia in 2014 for .7 million, according to The Guardian. It reported that HUD helped him get mortgages worth .9 million to fund the purchases by insuring the loans under a National Housing Act program.Hannity didn't mention this link to the department when he interviewed HUD Secretary Ben Carson on Fox News in June 2017.The Guardian reported that some of the properties Hannity acquired were purchased "after banks foreclosed on their previous owners for defaulting on mortgages." The purchases were spread across states including Alabama and New York, according to the report."Hannity is the hidden owner behind some of the shell companies and his attorney did not dispute that he owns all of them," the Guardian reported. The newspaper said those shell companies are limited liability companies, which are "popular among well-known figures such as Hannity who wish to keep their business arrangements private."In an email to The Guardian, Hannity real estate attorney Christopher Reeves said the transactions were highly confidential and said, "most people prefer to keep their legal and personal financial issues private. Mr Hannity is no different." (Reeves is married to a CNN executive.)In a statement Monday morning, Hannity said, "It is ironic that I am being attacked for investing my personal money in communities that badly need such investment and in which, I am sure, those attacking me have not invested their money." They would take several days and would evaluate Boeing’s proposed changes to the automated flight control system on the Max.The flight control system, triggered by faulty readings from sensors, pushed the planes into nosedives that led to crashes in Indonesia and Ethiopia, killing 346 people.Even if no new problems are discovered during the test flights, it’s likely to take at least a month to get pilots trained and get mothballed planes upgraded, inspected and serviced. The FAA has to sign off on Boeing’s pilot-training program, and a panel of international regulators will comment on minimum pilot training too.Boeing said it deferred to the FAA and global regulators on the Max certification process.Nearly 400 Max planes had been delivered to airlines before they were grounded, and Boeing has built several hundred more. 1232

FLORENCE, Ky. -- A Newport, Kentucky mom was arrested and charged with child endangerment Wednesday after she left her 1-year-old in her SUV at the Florence Mall, police said.Christina Krups, 29, left her child in her BMW for "at least 10 to 15 minutes," according to Florence Police Capt. Tom Grau.Mall security found the child after a group of people began to gather around the SUV, he said. The windows were down an inch and the car was locked, Grau said. It was 83 degrees outside the mall when security found the child. The temperature inside the car was 105 degrees."The 1-year-old child was still sleeping, had red cheeks and was sweating," Grau said. "The child, once awake, did not need further medical assistance and was released to the care of the father."Krups told police that "she just went into the mall for a couple minutes and knew she left her child inside the vehicle," according to a citation.Police took Krups to the Boone County jail. She's charged with a first-degree felony.On the same day, a prosecutor in Warren County, Ohio announced he wouldn't bring charges against a mom whose daughter died in her car in August. Prosecutor David Fornshell and Warren County Coroner's Office investigator Doyle Burke said the toddler's mother, a P&G employee, left the 15-month-old unattended in her parked car for nine hours on Aug. 23.Fornshell, however, said the mother did not act recklessly.
