Two people were found dead in a South Euclid, Ohio home early Saturday morning following a 12-hour standoff tied to the investigation of a Beachwood, Ohio doctor who was found shot to death on Thursday.Around 7:30 p.m Friday, SWAT converged on a second house belonging to Dr. Richard Warn in the 4300 block of Elmwood Road to serve a warrant with homicide detectives. Warn was found dead the previous day inside his Beachwood home on Brentwood Road.SWAT officers made entry into the residence using an armored vehicle and were met with gunfire. Authorities retreated and over the next 12 hours attempted to make contact with the people inside. On Saturday morning SWAT entered the house and found two white males dead inside, police said.The Ohio Bureau of Criminal Investigation is processing the scene for evidence.Police said the two men were persons of interest in the doctor's death. Their identities have not been released, and it's not known how they died.Watch the press conference regarding the SWAT standoff below: 1052

USA Gymnastics CEO Kerry Perry apologized Wednesday for the "horrific acts" of Larry Nassar at a congressional hearing examining the Olympic community's role in sex abuse scandals."I want to apologize to all who were harmed by the horrific acts of Larry Nassar," Perry said.She said she was "appalled and sickened by the despicable crimes" of Nassar and said USA Gymnastics has taken a new course over the last five months to protect athletes.Perry was appointed to take over USA Gymnastics late last year. She replaced Steve Penny, who resigned in March 2017 amid backlash over the organization's handling of sexual abuse claims, including against Nassar.Nassar, the former USA Gymnastics doctor and Michigan State University team physician, admitted in a Michigan court that he had used his influence and position as a trusted medical professional to sexually abuse young girls and women over two decades.Several of the hundreds of women abused by Nassar, including gold medal gymnast Aly Raisman, have said USA Gymnastics is responsible for not doing more to stop the years of abuse. TULSA, Okla. — A Tulsa police major is suing several media companies for publishing comments he made in a radio interview in June.Major Travis Yates has filed a lawsuit against Comcast, Gannett, Public Radio Tulsa, Gatehouse Media and others, saying their reports portrayed him in a "false light."During a June appearance on Talk Radio 1170 with host Pat Campbell, Yates said data shows systemic racism "doesn't exist" and "all the research says we're shooting African Americans about 24% less than we ought to be based on the crimes being committed."In the days following his comments, the Tulsa Police Department opened an investigation into Yates, and Tulsa Mayor G.T. U.K. police have appealed for witnesses after a passenger on a European airline made racist remarks about another passenger that were caught on video.The man had threatened to "push" an elderly black woman onto another seat.A crew member of the Ryanair flight from Barcelona, Spain, to London intervened, but the flight took off on Friday with at least one passenger wanting the unidentified man who made the remarks to be booted off the flight.In the footage, a man in a window seat was heard saying he refused to sit next to an elderly woman seated in an aisle seat. The man hurled insults at the woman and called her an "ugly black bastard" before the flight took off, according to a cell phone video recorded by London-based musician David Lawrence.Lawrence posted the footage on social media on Friday."This incident, which we were made aware of yesterday morning, is believed to have taken place on a plane at Barcelona Airport," said the police force in charge of the region round London Stansted airport, where the flight landed."Essex Police takes prejudice-based crime seriously and we want all incidents to be reported. TUCSON, Ariz. — Former USA Gymnastics doctor and convicted sexual predator Larry Nassar has been moved from a federal prison in Tucson, Arizona.According to ESPN, Nassar’s attorneys said in a court filing that Nassar was assaulted after being put into the general population at the Tucson Federal Correctional Complex.ESPN.com reports Nassar is an inmate at Oklahoma City’s Federal Transfer Center. It is unclear where he will be placed after being held in Oklahoma.  Nassar was sentenced up to 175 years in prison after more than 150 women said he sexually abused them. 603
