SAN DIEGO (KGTV) - Residents at the Pacific Heights Condominiums are making sure to lock their balcony doors after a bizarre theft.The theft happened Tuesday just after midnight, according to neighbors.A resident of the complex reported seeing two men climbing down his neighbors balcony with a bike in hand.  Milad Hassibi says he yelled at the two men when he saw them coming down. “The second that happened the guy fell off the ladder and his friend took the bike from him, took off with the bike one direction, and the other guy ran off the opposite way.” Hassibi said.He described the men as looking ragged and possibly homeless.  He put out a warning on social media. He said there were fliers put around the complex. 746

According to the site, San Diego is the 15th best place in the nation for veterans to live in 2019. Out of 100 other U.S. cities, San Diego ranks 47th for employment, 2nd for quality of life and 35th for health. San Diego (KGTV) — San Diego has several New Years Eve fireworks shows. While we may enjoy the sparkle and booms, your pets may run for their lives.“You don’t want to have them outside where all those loud fireworks are going off,” said San Diego Humane Society spokeswoman Dariel Walker. The organization sees a sudden spike in stray animals around this time of year, she said.Just like on July 4th, many pets who are terrified of loud noises run off in a panic. Walker suggested that owners prevent that by creating a calming environment for animals. “You can even even play music or have the TV on or have some noise in the background to drown out that loud sound of the fireworks,” Walker said. Walker advised pet owners to be prepared with a microchip in case they do run away. The San Diego Humane Society offers microchipping service for .The rice grain-size tracker goes into the back of the neck. It is administered similar to a regular vaccination shot and does not hurt the animal. SAN DIEGO (KGTV) -- San Diego County was officially added to California's "monitoring list" as the number of coronavirus cases across the state increases, and Gov. Gavin Newsom said he expected local health officials to comply with specific orders that include the closure of indoor dining spaces.As of Monday afternoon, San Diego County joined five other counties on the monitoring list. The other counties added to the list: Colusa, Madera, Marin, Merced, and Monterey.Of the state’s 58 counties, 23 of them are on the state’s list.Ahead of the Fourth of July weekend, Newsom ordered counties that have been on the list for at least three days to shutter indoor operations at businesses such as restaurants, wineries, movie theaters, zoos, museums and cardrooms.In a tweet on his Twitter account, Newsom said:"CA is now asking Colusa, Madera, Marin, Merced, Monterey & San Diego to close indoor operations for:-Restaurants-Wineries-Movie theaters-Zoos, museums-CardroomsBars must close ALL operations."During his Monday news conference, Newsom said he was awaiting an order from local health officials in each of the newly-added counties to issue an order enacting the measures, which are expected to remain in effect for at least three weeks.Counties on the list were also ordered to close all of its bars, a move San Diego County had already taken ahead of the holiday weekend.
