Pope Francis has removed Bishop Martin Holley of Memphis, Tennessee, the Vatican announced on Wednesday.Archbishop Joseph Kurtz of Louisville will run the diocese in Holley's absence, the Vatican said.In a statement, the Diocese of Memphis said Holley's removal follows an "apostolic visitation" -- churchspeak for a Vatican-led investigation -- in June 2018. POWAY, Calif. (KGTV) - The Jewish community of Poway dedicated a Torah scroll in memory of Lori Kaye, who was killed in the deadly shooting at the Chabad of Poway Synagogue. The dedication ceremony took place inside the Synagogue Wednesday evening, where Kaye was shot and killed. The April 27th anti-Semitic attack injured three other people worshiping on the last day of Passover. The Torah considered Judaism's most sacred object. It is sponsored by the Jaffa Family Foundation of New York, Cleveland, and Minneapolis. Rabbi Yisroel Goldstein described Kaye as a kind and generous soul. "Her legacy is going to continue through this Torah scroll," Goldstein said, motioning to one they dedicated to her. "And every Saturday we take it out, everyone touches it and kisses it, it's like blowing a kiss to Lori in heaven, remembering her forever and ever." (KGTV) — Poway officials expressed shock Wednesday over a potential state fine after a water system failure that has led to a water boil advisory.The city is now in the fifth day of the precautionary water boil advisory after residents reported brownish water coming out of their faucets on Saturday. Poway has ordered restaurants to close, and is now handing out free crates of bottled water at multiple locations, including City Hall.On Wednesday, Sean Sterchi, of the state Water Resources Control Board, said he anticipates the state will fine the city for failing to protect its system from storm water. Sterchi told 10News Poway's system, built in the 1960s, is an old design that doesn't meet current standards. On Wednesday, the city announced a third round of tests that showed no issues with chlorine, bacteria, or clarity.
