BEIJING, Aug. 13 (Xinhua) -- Foreign Minister of South Sudan Barnaba Marial Benjamin will visit China from Aug. 18 to 22, at the invitation of his Chinese counterpart, Wang Yi, announced Foreign Ministry spokeswoman Hua Chunying on Wednesday.
The two countries have a new type of relationship between major players, instead of military allies, he said, adding that their cooperation does not target a third country.
In terms of promoting bilateral relations and realizing win-win strategy, China and CEE countries are highly uniform and natural partners, Tang said, adding that closer relationship and cooperation between China and European countries must be on the basis of mutual respect, equality and mutual benefit.
Berdymukhamedov said energy cooperation is a major aspect of bilateral cooperation. He said his country will work with China to jointly advance construction of natural gas pipelines.
"As for the internal affairs of Afghanistan," the special envoy said, "we believe that the Afghan people can handle them well themselves, and we hope to contribute more to boosting regional cooperation and the country's reconciliation."
