SAN DIEGO (KGTV) — A fan was removed from Petco Park Wednesday, after using "foul language" toward a player. As the San Diego Padres took on the Arizona Diamondbacks, the unnamed fan berated a player on the field. The player was Diamondbacks right fielder Adam Jones, according to the Arizona Republic.Upon hearing the fan's language during a play in the fifth inning, Jones spoke with security to remove the fan, the Republic reported.RELATED: After nearly 30 years, Germany's San Diego Padres-themed bar closes"On the street, they’d never do that. In the ballpark when you’ve paid your admission, there’s no need for all that stuff. The second I hear somebody cussing us out, you’re gone. I could care less that they’re gone. That’s just how it is," Jones, who is a native of San Diego, told the Republic. "I made a nice play, and just hearing the B-word, F-word, that’s not baseball talk. So … he gone.”The Padres confirmed a fan was removed, adding the guest code of conduct is verbally stated twice per game."Consistent with our club and MLB policies, a fan was removed from the game yesterday for using foul language toward a player on the field," Craig Hughner, Padres director of communications, said in a statement. "The Padres reserve the right to remove any guest at any time who does not comply with the Petco Park Guest Code of Conduct, which includes the use of foul and abusive language or obscene gestures."The team's guest code of conduct is available online here.RELATED: Manny Machado crushes first homer as Padres avoid Diamondbacks sweepWednesday's incident isn't the first time Jones has faced foul language from a fan.In 2017, Jones said a Fenway Park fan called him the N-word during a game between the Baltimore Orioles and Boston Red Sox. The next night, a fan used the same word, reportedly about the national anthem singer, and was permanently banned from the stadium after another fan reported it.Jones told the Republic the Petco Park incident didn't rise to the same severity in language as the Fenway Park event. 2051

SAN DIEGO (KGTV) - A choir group from Carlsbad High School got the chance of a lifetime Tuesday night when they took the stage with a legendary rock band.Students from the choir gave themselves an opportunity to perform with award-winning band Foreigner by entering a contest from local radio station KGB-FM in May.“We just sent in a video to KGB, and they gave us a call and said, ‘Hey, you guys won,’” said Carlsbad High choir director Jessie Bullock.“Our teacher told us one day in class and we were like, ‘Oh my gosh. There’s no way! That’s amazing!’” said student Garret Avilez. To the members of Foreigner, public school music education is important.Bassist Jeff Pilson said with tight budgets, public music programs are often the first to get cut. Those programs personally inspired his career.“I started playing the cello when I was in 5th grade and happened to end up with an amazing music teacher,” said Pilson.None of the students were born until decades after Foreigner made a name for itself worldwide. Even the band members admitted the songs are more famous than the band itself.“A lot of these kids don’t realize how many Foreigner songs they know just by being around their parents,” said Pilson.“Some of us want to do performing when we're older and it's just like, being able to get an experience before getting into the industry is really cool,” said student Jamie Polmar. On Tuesday night, the Carlsbad High choir members finally shared the stage with the band at their concert at Chula Vista’s Mattress Firm Amphitheatre, and they sung their hearts out.Foreigner donated 0 to Carlsbad High School’s choir program. 1644

Chan says she open AA Fashion four years ago. This is her second alteration business. She tells 10News she owned a store in another location for 20 years, then retired. After taking a few years off she opened this store. "I came back to work because I love to sew." According to San Diego Fire-Rescue, no one was inside the business at the time of the fire. SAN DIEGO (KGTV) - A group of San Diego politicians presented a plan to White House officials Tuesday to finally address the flow of sewage from Mexico into U.S. waters. The centerpiece of the proposal is a 4 million treatment facility that would be able to process 163 million gallons of runoff a day.Local officials estimate the facility would be able to reduce the number days that sewage flows across the border from 138 to 12.“That’s 12 days more than it should be, but its certainly a lot better than the current situation is,” said San Diego Supervisor Greg Cox.He traveled to Washington for a meeting with White House officials on Tuesday, along with a delegation including San Diego Mayor Kevin Faulconer, Imperial Beach Mayor Serge Dedina and Port of San Diego Chairman Garry Bonelli. “We had a very good meeting,” reported Cox. “They were very impressed. The gentleman from the EPA, who’s in the best position to move the ball forward with us, said he’d never seen a more united effort coming from San Diego to deal with this problem.”Officials are looking at three potential funding sources. One would require Congress to pass a series of bills that would allocate .5 billion to the North American Development Bank (NADBank.)Money from NADBank can be used for the financing of infrastructure and water pollution projects on both sides of the border.A second option would also require an act of Congress, approving HR 4039 introduced by Rep. Mike Levin (D-CA.) The bill would allocate 0 million a year for five years to the EPA’s Border Water Infrastructure Program (BWIP.) Money from that account could also be used to fund the project. The third potential funding vehicle would be an increase to the International Boundary and Water Commission budget. Money for the IBWC is determined in agreements and treaties between the two countries. 1865
