(KGTV) – The San Diego County Sheriff’s Department arrested a man they say punched someone in the face near Julian after accusing him of trespassing.Deputies say they became aware of a series of theft-related crimes on the 5600 block of Eagle Park Road in August.The victims were outdoorsmen enjoying activities in the Cleveland National Forest. On November 6, Deputy Craig Rembold was contacted by a man who was hunting in the area on the 5th when he was accused of trespassing by a local land owner later identified as Frank Martinez, 54.During the conversation, Martinez punched the man in the face, causing significant injuries to the victim. On November 15, deputies arrested Martinez during a traffic stopped. He was taken to jail for battery and firearm violations.Martinez was arrested for battery and firearm violations. KANSAS CITY, Mo. – A Kansas City FBI agent who rushed to help survivors at the Pentagon on 9/11 died Thursday from brain cancer.Melissa S. Morrow, 48, died after a long battle with the disease. Morrow was certified by The World Trade Center Health Program and the 9/11 Victim Compensation Fund, and as a result of her actions on 9/11, her death is classified as a line of duty death.Morrow was working in the FBI’s Washington Field Office at the time of the attack.When the plane hit the Pentagon, Morrow, who was 31 at the time, responded to the crash site and spent the next 10 weeks there and at an evidence warehouse. During those 10 weeks, Morrow was exposed to hazardous contaminants.Les Kerry, Team Leader of the Missouri Law Enforcement Funeral Assistance Team, said that Special Agent Morrow’s death is a chilling reminder that the 9/11 tragedy continues to take lives. “Just an average citizen who didn’t know her, it’s going to bring back some memories of where you were that day of the tragedy and the travesty that took place on 911 and the days and months to follow,” said Kerry.  Morrow served in the Kansas City office from 2010 to 2018.She will be given a hero’s burial with bagpipes playing taps, a 21 gun salute, and a flyover. Morrow is survived by her mother, father and sister.Visitation is scheduled from 1:30 p.m. to 3 p.m. Tuesday, March 27 at Country Club Christian Church, 6101 Ward Parkway, Kansas City, Missouri. Kenneth Meredith has been married to his wife Betty for 70 years. COVID-19 restrictions have kept the couple apart.The two had an emotional reunion at the nursing home where Kenneth lives in Birmingham, England.When the separation became too much, Betty worked with the care home staff to surprise 96-year-old Kenneth. He walked into the home’s restaurant to find Betty surrounded by heart-shaped balloons, roses and music playing.Kenneth hurried over to Betty and gave her a long-awaited hug. He asked Betty if she was taking him back home, she replied that she’s come to live with him.Betty plans to move into the nursing home with Kenneth so they don’t have to spend any more time apart. 698

He had seen wildfires before, he said. "But the fact that it was coming down in 1,000 places, it was unheard of," McKay told CNN in an interview Sunday in a park in Chico, a city southwest of Paradise.He saw flames approach the school in both directions.His son, mom and girlfriend had already evacuated to a hotel in Chico that morning. "That freed me up to focus completely on this terrifying situation," McKay said.Family members of most other students had already picked up their children.But nearly two dozen students were stranded because their family members hadn't made it to the school.
