Parts of Hawaii are under a hurricane watch as Category 3 Hurricane Douglas has its sights set on the island state. The hurricane watch is in effect for the Big Island and Maui County.Packing top winds of 115 MPH as of 11 a.m. HT (5 p.m. ET), Douglas is moving toward Hawaii at 18 MPH. The storm was positioned 785 miles from Hilo, or 985 miles from Honolulu.Douglas is relatively small, with hurricane-force winds only extending 25 miles from the center.While the powerful hurricane is in the open ocean, it has been slowly losing strength. PINE VALLEY (KGTV) -  Nineteen people are in custody after the horse trailer they were traveling in crashed Saturday on Interstate 8, about 55 miles east of San Diego, Border Patrol said.The trailer, which was being pulled by a Ford F250 pickup truck, separated from the truck and overturned on its right side just before noon, according to the California Highway Patrol. Border Patrol agents said that the trailer was smuggling people into the country and all of the apprehended people identified as Mexican nationals. The driver of the truck managed to escape, according to Border Patrol.Six people were injured in the crash and two of them had to be airlifted to a hospital for treatment, Border Patrol told 10News.Witnesses said people ran out of the overturned horse trailer. Border Patrol agents took 19 people into custody and continued to look for others that may have fled on foot.   935

Patrick Quinn, a co-founder of the popular Ice Bucket Challenge, died at the age of 37.The ALS Association announced the news on social media Sunday.Quinn was diagnosed with amyotrophic lateral sclerosis (ALS) shortly after his 30th birthday, according to the association. Since his diagnosis, Quinn raised awareness for the disease, co-creating the widely popular Ice Bucket Challenge.ALS posted the following message of Quinn following his passing:"We are deeply sorry to share that Pat Quinn passed away today. Pat was co-founder of the ALS Ice Bucket Challenge and an inspiration to millions of people around the world.Pat was diagnosed in March of 2013, a month after his 30th birthday. Taking a cue from his friend, the late Pete Frates, Pat established his own team of supporters – Quinn for the Win – to raise awareness and funds for the fight against ALS.Pat, who lived in Yonkers, NY, saw the Ice Bucket Challenge on the social media feed of the friends and family of the late Anthony Senerchia, of Pelham, NY, and knew it was the key to raising ALS awareness. With having to care for three children, they decided it was time to make some extra cash, so they posted their car for rent on Turo. "It's really just posting pictures of your car, and they set you up with a photographer if you want professional pictures done of your car," explains Christie.Depending on how new and nice your vehicle is, Christie says Turo allows you to price your car accordingly. Her Jeep Wrangler rents for 9 a day. At first, Christie says they raked in about 0 a month, which was just enough to pay the car payment. But as they got more reviews from renters, they were making enough to supplement an income. "I would say our profit, 0 at least," says Christie. "During the summer months, it can be up to ,400 in profit."Making that kind of money is great.
