(KGTV) -- A man was arrested at a rest stop near Camp Pendleton after a woman called 911 to report that he kidnapped her during their date in Orange County.At around 12:30 a.m. Monday, the California Highway Patrol received an emergency call from a woman claiming she was on a date with a man in Costa Mesa when he allegedly took her against her will.According to the CHP, the pair were at a viewpoint off southbound Interstate 5 near the San Onofre Nuclear Station when she jumped out of the man’s pickup truck and called 911.As Camp Pendleton police and CHP officers responded to the incident, the man drove away. He later pulled over at a rest stop further down southbound I-5 and was taken into custody.No other information on the incident was immediately released. 777

(KGTV) — A California Highway Patrol officer found himself in the right place at just the right time this week on a Northern California freeway.CHP officer Jeffrey Lloyd was completing a traffic stop on State Route 99 Monday when an SUV pulled up behind him. A woman in the right passenger seat was going into labor and about to give birth, according to CHP'S South Sacramento office.Officer Lloyd informed dispatch of the situation and gatherer medical equipment to help deliver the baby right there on the freeway. (KGTV) - A historic letter sent from perhaps history's most famous ship by a passenger bound for San Diego is hitting the auction block.A letter from a survivor aboard the Titanic was recently listed by the English auction house Henry Aldridge and Son. Passenger Kate Buss, who was reported as heading for San Diego to marry her fiance, penned the letter more than 106 years ago.The letter dated April 10, 1912, remains in surprisingly great condition and gives readers a glimpse into life on the famed ship.In it, Buss writes to her brother, Percy, about her time on the Titanic, how she had experienced "no sign of sea sickness" yet, the unfortunate smell of fresh paint, and the "magnificent" sight of the ship's first-class apartments: 767

(KGTV) — A rapidly-spreading wildfire tore through thousands of acres in Northern California Thursday, as strong winds and low humidity brought a red flag warning to the region.The Camp Fire sparked at about 6:30 a.m. in the Pulga area, near Paradise, Calif., in Butte County. Within a few hours, the blaze had charred at least 5,000 acres.By 7 p.m. Thursday, the fire had reached 20,000 acres. Lt. Gov. Gavin Newsom, who is currently acting governor with Gov.
