PETERSBURG, Fla. — Rapper Lil Wayne has been charged with possession of a firearm by a convicted felon, an offense that carries a potential sentence of up to 10 years in prison.Documents filed Tuesday in Miami federal court say the rapper, whose real name is Dwayne Michael Carter Jr., had a gun and ammunition on Dec. 23 of last year despite knowing he had the previous felony.Authorities say Carter acknowledged owning the gold-plated handgun after his luggage was searched upon arriving in Miami on a private plane."Carter is charged with possessing a gold-plated handgun in his luggage on a private plane," Howard Srebnick, a lawyer for Lil Wayne, said in a statement. "There is no allegation that he ever fired it, brandished it, used it or threatened to use it. There is no allegation that he is a dangerous person. The charge is that because he was convicted of a felony in the past, he is prohibited from possessing a firearm."The rapper is due in court on Dec. 11.Carter's previous conviction came in 2009 when he pleaded guilty to a 2007 charge of illegal possession of a loaded weapon in New York. SOLON, Ohio — An Ohio police department is warning of a Netflix email phishing scam that is asking people to update their payment details after one of their officers, who doesn't even have a Netflix account, received the email.The city of Solon, Ohio Police Department put out the warning, saying criminals want you to click the links so that you voluntarily give out your personal information. The links also could install malware on your computer.In a photo, the very real-looking email it asks users to update their payment details, saying the account is on hold."Hi Dear, We're having some trouble with your current billing information. We'll try again, but in the meantime you may want to update your payment details," the email reads, with a link to update the account.Netflix said if you believe you have received a fraudulent email appearing to be from the company, never enter your details, never click on any links and do not reply to it. ST. LOUIS (AP) — The Cardinals' game Friday against the Chicago Cubs was postponed after another St. Louis player tested positive for COVID-19. In a press release, Major League Baseball said the game was postponed to allow more time for additional testing and to complete the contact tracing process. The Cardinals have been off since last week when two players returned positive coronavirus tests. Eight players in total have tested positive, including star catcher Yadier Molina.ESPN reported the Cardinals already have games to make up due to postponing against the Milwaukee Brewers, who they were scheduled to play last week in a 3-game series.
