Watch the update in the player below:The Woolsey Fire, which erupted Thursday afternoon, has destroyed at least 150 homes and forced the evacuation of 75,000 homes and 200,000 people in both counties as it indiscriminately consumed multi-million dollar mansions and mobile homes. They could not confirm whether the deaths were fire-related. Conditions in the area have hampered the investigation.Los Angeles County Fire Department Chief Daryl Osby said damage assessment teams will be in the areas effected by the fire throughout the day, determining how many structures were lost or damaged. And with a lull in the winds, Osby said firefighters will be establishing line perimeters as a means of controlling and knocking down the fire.At least 200 deputies will be in the five Los Angeles County cities effected by the fire -- Westlake Village, Hidden Hills, Agoura Hills, Calabasas and Malibu -- doing property evaluations and looking for any possible looters, Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department Chief John Benedict said."There is zero tolerance for any looting," Benedict said.Ventura County Sheriff's Sgt. Eric Buschow said at least two people have been arrested on suspicion of looting in his county.Pepperdine lifted a shelter-in-place order that had been in effect and canceled all school events for Saturday, and school officials were expected to update the status of Monday's classes and events later in the afternoon.Los Angeles County fire strike teams and water dropping aircraft were working to contain the flames on or around the Pepperdine campus. Investigators spoke to hundreds of people in the search for clues about Mollie Tibbetts' disappearance, but weeks after she vanished it was security camera footage that finally gave them a first glimpse of the man accused of killing her.The 20-year-old student went missing on July 18 in Brooklyn, Iowa, after going for a jog. Authorities charged Cristhian Bahena Rivera, 24, with first-degree murder charges on Tuesday.Here's how investigators arrested Rivera and how they found a body believed to be that of Tibbetts.They were caught on home surveillanceHer whole family, her hometown and dozens of investigators joined forces looking for the University of Iowa student. They put Tibbetts' photo on yard signs, store windows and thousands of shirts around Brooklyn, a small community an hour east of Des Moines.As the weeks passed, a reward for information on her whereabouts kept growing and reached nearly 0,000. Investigators got thousands of tips, rolled out an interactive website to help jog the public's memory, and even looked into Tibbetts' data from a fitness tracker.About a week or two ago, a neighbor gave police his security cameras.They watched the footage for hours before they could spot Tibbetts, said Rick Rahn, a special agent in charge at the Iowa Division of Criminal Investigation.The footage showed her running through an area east of Brooklyn and a car moving close to her. The black Chevy Malibu drove back and forth numerous times before it just started following her, according to an affidavit.They linked the car to Rivera and "from that we were able to track his pattern in the routes in which he took," Rahn said.He didn't resist when authorities tried to detain him on Monday, Rahn said.Tibbetts ran off and suspect chased her, authorities sayAfter his arrest, Rivera told authorities he saw Tibbetts running and "pursued her in his vehicle." And then, she took off running and he, in turn, chased her down," Rahn said during a news conference on Tuesday.Rivera says that at some point, he panicked, got mad and doesn't remember what happened next, according to the affidavit.The next thing he remembers is being at an intersection in rural Poweshiek County and driving to a cornfield, court documents say.When he noticed an earpiece from headphones on his lap, he realized he had put the woman in the trunk of his car. In the span of less than 24 hours, Delta strengthened from a tropical storm into a power category 4 hurricane with its sights set on the Yucatan Peninsula.Moments after reporting Delta had become a major hurricane Tuesday morning, the National Hurricane Center (NHC) said that the storm had strengthened further into category 4 status. According to a reading from a Hurricane Hunter aircraft, Delta has maximum sustained winds of 130 mph, as of Tuesday at 10 p.m. CT. The storm's top winds dropped slightly from 145 MPH.The NHC says Delta will bring "extremely dangerous storm surge" and other hurricane-like conditions to the Yucatan throughout the day Tuesday before briefly making landfall on Wednesday. The Yucatan Peninsula is home to many Mexican resort towns, including Cancún and Playa del Carmen. Belize, a coastal country on the southern part of the peninsula, may also feel effects from Delta.While the NHC notes that there is "large uncertainty in track and intensity forecasts," Delta is currently expected to make landfall on the Louisiana coastline as a hurricane late in the week. Current forecasts have Delta making landfall anywhere from western Louisiana to the western Florida panhandle on early Saturday morning.Louisiana has taken the brunt of the impact of the 2020 hurricane season. Hurricanes Marco and Laura have already made landfall in the state, causing inland flooding and significant damage along the coast.
