An Alaska Airlines flight from San Francisco to Philadelphia was forced to divert, all thanks to a belligerent passenger who tried twice to light up inside the cabin.Passengers boarding Alaska Airlines' red-eye flight 1138 in San Francisco were in for quite a surprise. Then the passenger refused to comply with flight crew instructions by trying to light up a cigarette -- again.About an hour before they were supposed to land in Philadelphia, pilots were forced to divert to O'Hare International Airport."Due to a disruptive passenger onboard and out of an abundance of caution, the flight was diverted to Chicago and landed at 4:22 a.m. local time," Alaska Airlines told CNN.Chicago Police say they were asked to meet the plane because of the cigarette-lighting passenger, who "was somewhat belligerent."While the individual was escorted off the plane without incident, the diversion added an hour onto the other passengers' red-eye flight, since the plane needed refueling.It's unclear if the passenger will face any punishment for their actions. The FAA, which enforces the regulations the passenger violated, told CNN the incident is under investigation.Chicago Police say they did not make an arrest. A picture is worth a thousand words and a group of black medical students at Tulane University are hoping their pictures speak volumes about how far they've come.Russell Ledet, a medical student at Tulane University, tells CNN he got the idea after a conversation with his eight-year-old daughter about a trip they took to Whitney Plantation in Edgard, Louisiana."Her insight [to the visit] was, "This is not fair. This is not supposed to happen,"' Ledet said. "So I had this idea that we need to get the black medical students at Tulane and we need come here. We need to do this for ourselves."He decided to pitch the idea of taking a group tour of the plantation to his classmates, along with taking pictures in their white coats, and it turned out better than imagined.The idea takes offLedet said his peers had "no hesitation," and they knew it could have an impact. ALLENDALE, Mich. — Hundreds of dollars in school lunch debt in Allendale, Michigan, is about to be paid off in full. That's thanks to a mom teaching her kids the value of charity and a local business who stepped in to help.Aaron Haight says she wants her children to learn to be a blessing whenever possible and that you can do that in many different ways."I wanted to give back to the community, but I also wanted to teach my kids kind of about their privilege and how important it is to give back when you are in a place of privilege," Haight said.That’s why, a few years ago, Haight's family started fundraising to pay off hundreds of dollars in school lunch debt for Allendale Public Schools."Every year, we worked with Jody who is the director of food service at Allendale Public Schools, and she would kind of tell us about how much money we needed to raise and we would raise it through friends and family and some local businesses contributed throughout the year," she explained.That was the plan again this year. That is until Trail Point Brewing Company in Allendale stepped in and pledged to pay the debt in full.Co-owner Greg Evans says he was inspired when the Mitten Brewing and Fetch Brewing did something similar.Evans said, "It's something that really hit home to me. A woman was arrested Monday on suspicion of murder after the body of her 9-year-old daughter was found in a duffel bag earlier this month, authorities said.Taquesta Graham, 28, is expected to be charged with murder on Wednesday, according to the Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department.
