According to police, the man's body was found in the driver's seat of the vehicle on the 4000 block of Boston Avenue just before noon. Police say the victim had a wound on his head. At this time, police say they're searching for three teenage boys seen leaving the scene around the time the victim was found dead.Both 40th and 41st Street from Newton Avenue to Boston Avenue and the 4000 block of Boston Avenue, including the North Alley and Recreation Center foot path were closed throughout the day Wednesday as police investigated. SAN DIEGO (KGTV) -- A man police say rammed a patrol vehicle while holding a gun prompted an officer-involved shooting in North Park Saturday. The incident began around 9:20 p.m. when police received a call about a carjacking near Maryland Street and Madison Avenue. According to San Diego Police, the victim’s property, including a 2019 Subaru Outback, was taken at gunpoint. When officers tried to stop the vehicle, the driver, a 17-year-old boy, fled the scene, leading police on a chase. The pursuit ended when the suspect drove off the road at Arizona Street and Howard Avenue before putting the car in reverse and driving toward officers. While backing up, police say the 17-year-old slouched down in the driver’s seat, pointing a handgun at police and prompting an officer to fire his weapon at the suspect. The man continued to back up, slamming into a patrol car, police say. But now the gaming giant is getting into education.The company announced on Tuesday it is partnering with education nonprofit Institute of Play to bring its popular Switch gaming console and DIY Labo kits to 100 classrooms across the United States. The effort aims to help kids build communication and critical thinking skills in science, technology, engineering, art and mathematics (STEAM).The Nintendo Switch, which is both a handheld and home console, sold roughly 10 million units?after its launch. In January 2018, the company introduced Nintendo Labo, series of DIY projects that allows kids to build things such as an RC car, a fishing rod and a piano out of cardboard. These cardboard figures are used with Switch video games and can tech basic programming skills through its Toy-Con Garage feature.Nintendo is bringing the products to 100 schools nationwide for kids ages 8 to 11. A pilot program has already brought kits to 11 schools in the New York City Tri-State area. The program will run through March 2019.Interested schools can also apply to participate.
