She can't walk, talk or eat," Julia's mom, Lisa Talbot, told CNN.But this disability is not stopping Julia from living her best life. She loves the fact that her wheelchair can make her costumes that much more epic, and people just go gaga over her, her mom says."She loves attention. She loves life! She giggles all the time," Talbot said, and added that Julia loves that people on Halloween actually come up to her and engage with her, talk to her, and pay attention to her.And attention is what Julia got when her mom shared the photo on Twitter?of the little but mighty RBG impersonator.With a simple caption -- "My daughter's wheelchair made the PERFECT foundation for her Halloween costume" -- Julia's photo gained over 26,000 likes and nearly 6,000 retweets.Her parents always want to create costumes that send a positive message, whether it's subtle or not. They begin brainstorming ideas months in advance, and it takes them about 3-4 weeks to actually build the costumes."Anything that makes her excited is something we feel a responsibility and a mission to deliver for her. Because she has a hard life," Talbot said. "She is the joy of our life. You can't help but see the world through her eyes. TIJUANA, Mexico (KGTV) - Two people in a Utah-registered truck crashed into vendors and other vehicles on the Tijuana side of the U.S.-Mexico border at the San Ysidro Port of Entry Monday, Televisa reported. Two people in a black Chevy truck with Utah license plates started a fight with a pedestrian about 3 p.m. at Boulevard Gral Manuel Márquez de León and Paseo de los Héroes, according to Televisa, which cited Tijuana Police Chief Mario Martinez. Minutes after the fight, the suspects drove to the border crossing where they struck more than 15 vehicles waiting to cross into the United States and ran over 15 vendors, the news agency reported. The suspects were a man and woman, possibly American, Televisa report. The two were arrested and taken to the hospital. There is a heavy police presence at Mercy Hospital in Chicago after there were reports of shots fired inside the building Monday afternoon.WLS-TV in Chicago is reporting there are multiple injuries, and the building is being partially evacuated. Chicago Police said one officer was shot and wounded, and he is in critical condition. The TV station has interviewed witnesses who said they saw at least one person get shot and heard as many as 20 gunshots fired.Some witnesses ducked and hid as they hear the gunshots ring out, WLS-TV reports.Police also said the suspect was shot. 602

However, despite putting in the extra work, 6 in 10 workers say they're making the same amount of money they were a year ago.“Despite the best economy we've seen in about a dozen years and the tightest labor market we've seen in almost 50 years, pay raises and better paying jobs are still the exception rather than the rule,” says Greg McBride, with Bankrate.com.Employers are also becoming more selective in how they give out raises, with more companies turning solely to performance-based salary increases.“There's less emphasis on this cost of living, this across the board peanut butter raise that everybody gets,” McBride says. “I think the other element here to is rising benefit costs. A lot of people are getting their raise in the form of the employer absorbing higher benefit costs.”McBride says people with low incomes have the highest chances of not receiving a raise or a better paying job because they generally don't have the advanced skills companies are looking for. Baby Boomers are also not likely to receive a raise because they've often reached their highest income potential within the company.Daniel Swart is a government consultant and one of those workers who did not get a pay raise this year.“It's pretty frustrating,” he says. “When you put in your time and you think you're progressing and your skills are progressing, but your salary is not matching up with those skill progressions.”One of his resolutions for the New Year is to find a new job.“You're almost in a position where the only way to get an increase in your salary is to look for another job,” Swart says.Experts say that can be the smartest plan.“If your current employer is not going to pay you what you feel your market rate is, look elsewhere and see if one of the competitors in the marketplace will,” McBride says. “This is an extremely tight labor market and particularly competitive in certain areas.” 1995
