CANBERRA, Nov. 2 (Xinhua) -- The plenary session convened by the Communist Party of China (CPC) this week emphasized the modernization of China's capacity for governance, which is quite necessary, said some Australian scholars.
"The two sides should proceed from the fundamental interests of the two peoples and the people of the world, respect each other, seek common ground while reserving differences, pursue win-win results in cooperation, and promote bilateral ties to develop in the right direction," said Xi.
A series of activities in celebration of the 70th founding anniversary of the People's Republic of China this year have significantly inspired the patriotic enthusiasm and enterprising spirit of the Chinese people of all ethnic groups, highlighting remarkable achievements and great vitality of socialism with Chinese characteristics, Xi said.
China will take further necessary actions in accordance with the development of the situation to firmly defend the stability and prosperity of Hong Kong and safeguard national sovereignty, security and development interests, she said.
Organized by China's Ministry of Culture and Tourism, the course is part of a training program of the Publicity Department of the Communist Party of China Central Committee from 2019 to 2020.
