After standing on a street corner and asking strangers for employment, one homeless man in Silicon Valley has been overwhelmed by job offers.David Casarez, a college graduate in his 20s, was spotted holding a sign that read, "Homeless hungry 4 success take a resume." He was handing out his resume to motorists in Mountain View, California -- where Google is headquartered -- and hoping to make a job connection.Casarez moved to California several months ago, seeking a job in the tech industry. He recently ran out of money and said he had to get creative to get noticed, according to CNN affiliate KRON. 618

After the Trump Campaign requested the presidential debates be moved closer to the election because some states will begin mail-in voting while the debates are being held, the Commission on Presidential Debates denied the campaign’s request. In a letter addressed to Trump campaign surrogate Rudolph Giuliani, the commission said it will stick with its planned three presidential debates – the first being held on September 29, and final one on October 22.“ In 2016, when the debate schedule was similar, only .0069% of the electorate had voted at the time of the first debate. While more people will likely vote by mail in 2020, the debate schedule has been and will be highly publicized,” the commission wrote. “Any voter who wishes to watch one or more debates before voting will be well aware of that opportunity.”As part of Giuliani’s request, Trump’s team sought an additional debate this fall. The Trump campaign quickly countered the debate commission’s response.“We are disappointed in your response, but appreciate your openness to a fourth, or earlier, debate ‘if the candidates were to agree that they wished to add to that schedule[,]'" wrote Giuliani. “Your reply makes it clear that the idea of an earlier debate is, in effect, locked away in the basement, alone and diminished. We continue to believe that the American people deserve to see their candidates for president compare their records and visions for the United States before actual voting begins.”The general election debates have generally followed the same schedule since 2000, with three presidential debates and a vice presidential debate the month before the election. The schedule for these debates are generally settled nearly a year in advance. 1735

AKRON, Ohio -- His bags were packed and his plans had been made. But a 27-year-old man known for his effervescence and strong work ethic didn't make it home Wednesday night, the day before he was set to start a new job in a new state. Friends and family of Clintin Churby, who worked at Summit Racing, remain shell-shocked after a wrong-way driver killed him Wednesday night in Akron, Ohio.Shortly after 8 p.m. Wednesday, a 63-year-old man driving a pickup truck entered I-76 heading the wrong direction—eastbound in the westbound lanes—when he struck Churby near the top of the Central Interchange, according to Akron police. Churby was pronounced dead at the scene. The other driver was taken to Cleveland Clinic Akron General Medical Center where his condition remains unknown. While the accident remains under investigation, police said it appears that alcohol may have played a factor in the fatal wrong-way crash.According to Churby's mother, Sandi, Clintin had just finished a half-day at work at Summit Racing in anticipation of a promotion and transfer to a facility in Texas. Wednesday was his last day."He had it together. He was going to his next adventure. We were supposed to cry all night because he moved to Texas," Sandi said. "Now, we're going to cry forever."Sandi began to sense that something might be amiss when her son didn't come home between 8 and 9 p.m., his expected arrival. She initially thought that maybe he was tied up at work still saying goodbye to his friends and co-workers. She called. She left voicemails. She fired off text messages. She was met with silence until a knock came on the front door."[Clintin] was a hard worker. He worked for a living. He didn't drink for a living. The irony..." Sandi said as her voice trailed off. "He was an innocent boy that was going places. It's not right. It's not right. Clintin made everybody smile. He was a happy boy. He was going places, literally."Not much is known about the driver that cause the fatal crash. As of Thursday evening, formal charges have not been filed against the man. Police said in a news release Thursday that the investigation remains ongoing."I want [the wrong-way driver] to hear how many people he hurt. It's uncalled for. He drove for over a mile the wrong way at 8 p.m. at night. How do you do that? How do you get in your car, 63-years-old and drunk? How do you do that?" Sandi said. "I almost wish he was younger so he could suffer longer in jail. He's not going to be there long enough."Earlier this month, Clintin's closest friends joined him at a local campground to celebrate his new job and his new opportunity. Those smile-filled photos are even more precious now as Clintin's family begins planning his funeral services.A GoFundMe has been set up in Clintin's name in order to help cover funeral expenses. All sorts of medical providers are willing to play a role in vaccine distribution once it becomes widely available.“I think what's going to happen is the vaccination process goes down the pathway, and in the next year, you'll see more and more states get on board with that,” said Dr. Robert Zena, President of the American Association of Dental Boards.Zena says we've already seen several state legislatures approve dentists to give the COVID-19 vaccine and about a dozen more are in the process of doing so.Back in October, the federal government recommended states expand their list of vaccine providers.Dentists may be able to reach even more people than traditional doctors. About 9% of Americans see a dentist every year but not a physician, according to the American Dental Association.“There are a lot of dental offices in more rural areas where it's harder for those people to get access to care. So, the distribution of dentists across the country is really widespread,” said Zena.People may also be more willing to accept a vaccine once they talk with a dentist they trust. On the flip side, a COVID-19 vaccine at a dentist's office could help drum up interest and new dental business.During the H1N1 pandemic, dentists in some states gave the vaccine. Some areas have also authorized dentists to give the flu shot. Last year, Oregon became the first state to allow dentists to give any vaccine to any patient, child or adult. The same consideration is being made for eye doctors to administer COVID-19 vaccines. 1528
