A man in New Jersey is hospitalized with the state's first "presumptive positive case of novel coronavirus," officials said Wednesday night. The man, who's in his 30s, has been hospitalized in Bergen County since Tuesday. The test result came from a sample tested by the New Jersey Department of Health. It now heads to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention for confirmatory testing. A bill that will require the chemical castration of some sex offenders in Alabama as a stipulation for parole has been signed by the state's governor.Gov. Kay Ivey signed the legislation on Monday after it was approved by the state's legislature on May 31. In the process of chemical castration, a person is given an injection or pills to significantly reduce libido.The bill affects criminals who commit sex crimes against children age 13 and younger, requiring they undergo the process before they are released from prison. A landspout tornado briefly touched down in New Jersey on Saturday and the high winds flipped over a car.The tornado moved across a warehouse parking lot in Mount Laurel Township about 2 p.m. ET before overturning the car, the National Weather Service said.It also passed over a nearby warehouse building, causing minor roof damage."Portions of roof material were pulled back causing the roof to bow. Two air conditioning units were torn off the roof. A hunt for five inmates who escaped Monday night from the jail in Nash County, North Carolina, is expected to continue through the night, Nash County Sheriff Keith Stone said during a news conference.The inmates escaped by pulling at a fence in the exercise yard that was already weakened and had been worked on months before, Stone said.A camera monitoring the inmates was facing a different direction and Stone believes the inmates found a blind spot in the yard to escape.The inmates were identified as:David Ruffin Jr., charged with possession of heroin. A 14-year-old girl was killed and four others injured when falling rocks hit their car at the Glacier National Park in Montana.The rocks hit the top of the car Monday night and shattered the rear windshield. In addition to killing the girl, rocks also injured her parents and two other children in the vehicle, the park said in a statement.It estimated the rocks were between fist-sized and 12 inches in diameter along with enough debris from the rockfall to fill the bed of a pickup truck. The incident happened near the East Tunnel on the popular and mountainous Going-to-the-Sun Road.An ambulance that responded could not airlift the girl because of her unstable condition, the park said.Flight paramedics traveled with her using ground ambulance to Kalispell, Montana. She died while being transported to a local hospital, the park said."The two adults suffered significant bruises and were transported to area hospitals. The two other children in the vehicle had minor injuries and also went by ambulance to the hospital," the park said.The victims were visiting from Utah, and authorities will release their names once family notifications are complete. Going-to-the-Sun Road was closed briefly Monday night while crew cleared the rocks and a tow truck removed the vehicle.The last fatal injury from rockfall on the Going-to-the-Sun Road was in 1996 when a vehicle was struck, according to the park. 1417
