In the wake of the death of an eight-year-old boy while in custody of Customs and Border Protection, the agency announced a series of policy changes on Tuesday night.First, Border Patrol is conducting secondary medical checks on all children in CBP care and custody with a particular focus on children under 10.Second, Border Patrol is working with Immigration and Customs Enforcement on available surge options for transportation to Family Residential Centers and supervised release, CBP said. In an act of mob justice, a man was beaten to death after he tried to steal a car with three children inside, Philadelphia police say.The man, 54, drove off with the car while the children's mother and father were in a store Thursday night, police said.
