Scooter company Lime is recalling one of its models from every city after realizing it could break apart while in use. The company says the model occasionally breaks "when subject to repeated abuse."The scooters were manufactured by a Chinese company called Okai, according to a Washington Post interview with Lime representatives. The Washington Post said it could not get in touch with Okai for comment.Lime plans to decommission any Okai scooters in its fleets.Those who experience the breaking scooter are typically leaving them where they break, and it has been difficult for the company to tally how many have broken, the Washington Post reports.This recall follows one issued a couple months ago stating some Lime scooters could catch fire. SAN MARCOS, Calif. (KGTV) -- A man deputies say was under the influence was arrested Saturday evening after crashing into a patrol car and causing a second crash while fleeing law enforcement. According to the San Diego County Sheriff’s Department, deputies tried to make contact with an intoxicated man in the parking lot on the 400 block of Autumn Drive in San Marcos around 4:49 p.m.The driver, Cristian Reinoso, 24, failed to obey instructions, instead backing into an unoccupied patrol vehicle twice, deputies say. According to the department, Reinoso then drove away from the parking lot, striking a fence and a parked car before running a red light and crashing into another vehicle at the intersection of Los Vallecitos Boulevard and Knoll Road. The crash reportedly caused Reinoso’s vehicle to roll over, so deputies say he got out and ran away before being arrested at an apartment complex on the 200 block of Knoll Road. Both Reinoso and the driver of the other vehicle were taken to the hospital for minor injuries. The department says Reinoso will be charged with assault on a peace officer with a deadly weapon and hit-and-run causing injuries. 1167

SEATTLE (AP) — Cookware and kitchen chain Sur La Table is closing 56 of its 121 stores as it seeks bankruptcy protection, the latest retail casualty of the coronavirus pandemic. SAN YSIDRO, Calif. (KGTV) -- Two men used semi-automatic handguns to rob a T-Mobile store Tuesday afternoon, according to San Diego Police. Police say the incident happened around 12:40 p.m. at the T-Mobile store on the 4300 block of Camino De La Plaza. The men reportedly walked into the store wearing white masks before taking several phones and fleeing the scene in what police describe as a four-door subcompact vehicle. Police were unable to find the suspects after setting up a perimeter and searching the area. Detectives are investigating the incident. 569
