An Alabama woman says the temporary teeth that she wore with her zombie Halloween costume almost turned into permanent teeth.Anna Tew of Mobile County, Alabama told WKRG-TV she was forced to schedule an emergency dentist appointment after the "Devil Teeth" she wore with her costume wouldn't come out after nearly a day.Tew said she bought the fake teeth at Walmart to wear with a zombie costume as part of a haunted house at a local school. The teeth came with an adhesive that she applied before putting them in her mouth.But soon after leaving the haunted house, Tew realized the teeth wouldn't budge. On top of that, the teeth were extremely painful, meaning she couldn't eat or drink.At one point, Tew thought that drinking hot coffee would loosen the adhesive, but she told the Ledger-Enquirer that she ended up "drooling" the drink. 850

Anderson Cooper's interview with Stephanie Clifford, the adult film star known as Stormy Daniels, is set to air on "60 Minutes" on Sunday, March 25.The interview was taped last week. The air date has not been officially announced. But two sources involved with the story told CNN that it has always been slated for March 25.There have been loud calls -- particularly from Trump critics -- for CBS to televise the interview sooner, given the swirling questions about her alleged relationship with Donald Trump and her acceptance of hush money shortly before Trump was elected president. Trump's lawyer and the White House have denied allegations of an affair.The newsmagazine routinely takes weeks to edit its stories. In this case, "60 Minutes" producers wanted time to vet the allegations that Clifford leveled in the interview.There were also some practical scheduling concerns. When Cooper landed the Daniels interview, CBS had already announced an exclusive interview with the Saudi crown prince Mohammed bin Salman.Norah O'Donnell's sit-down marked the first time a U.S. TV network has interviewed a Saudi leader since 2005. The hard-to-move interview is airing this Sunday.A CBS spokesman declined to comment on the Clifford interview. As Congress mulls over the possibility of another stimulus package, and the idea of including a second wave of stimulus checks in it, the House Ways and Means Committee estimates 30 to 35 million Americans are still waiting on their stimulus money from the CARES Act.“Let’s make sure that we don’t lose focus on the people who didn’t get a payment from the first branch,” said Bob Probasco.Probasco is a CPA and the director of the Low Income Tax Clinic at Texas A&M University. He has followed activity with stimulus checks since they started going out in April, in particular, all of the issues the IRS has had in getting the money into taxpayers’ hands.“There are just a number of different problems,” said Probasco. "People had old bank account information on their tax returns, and then, they changed their bank account, but the IRS doesn’t have the new one. The payment went to the bank, it will have to be returned and then a paper check will go out.”The IRS attempted to speed payments up in May by sending out prepaid debit cards to 4 million people, but the debit cards were not as helpful as anticipated and resulted in the IRS continuing to distribute paper checks for the remaining payments.“There were big problems with that,” Probasco explained. “We saw tax representatives, CPAs, lawyers, who people came to and said, ‘I got this’ and they weren’t sure that was legitimate.”The debit cards were sent in barely-marked envelopes that caused so many to think they were fake. So, the IRS had to issue a press release, reminding people that the “plain envelope from Money Network Cardholder Services” is not junk mail.In addition, the IRS had to issue guidance for those who destroyed or threw out their debit cards, asking them to call 1-800-240-8100. Anyone else who hasn’t received a debit card or stimulus check payment can go to the IRS’s Check My Payment feature on its website.“If you see on there that a payment was sent out, but you didn’t get the payment, there is a different number that you can call which is 1-800-919-9835,” Probasco said.The good news is the IRS expects to get all the stimulus payments out ahead of the initial September timeline, and a proposed second round of stimulus checks could go smoother.“There will be some improvements because the IRS has learned some lessons,” said Probasco. 2341

(CNS) - Part of Disney California Adventure will open without rides Thursday but plenty of shopping and dining.Billed as an extension of Downtown Disney, Buena Vista Street will be gussied up for the holidays, offering socially distanced outdoor dining at favorite restaurants including Carthay Circle Lounge where Chef Andrew Sutton, culinary director of Signature Restaurants, says Al Fresco Dining at Carthay Circle Lounge will be "like sitting in a European sidewalk cafe.""We literally borrowed tables from some of the other restaurants," he said in remarks reported by the Orange County Register. "Then we started to get more serious about it, bringing in planters, and gardening, and making it look much more refined. The finished product is beautiful."Parts of the park are opening for retail and dining as an extension of the Downtown Disney District. Reservations won't be accepted, but a mobile wait list system will be in place when the restaurant is at capacity.Diners can choose to provide their name and mobile number to receive a text message when it's time to return. Mobile ordering will be available at Smokejumpers Grill and Award Wieners.Buena Vista Street will be open daily 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. There's no admission charge to enter and guests can park in the Simba lot as they do for Downtown Disney. As hundreds of students from Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School prepare to board buses to lobby lawmakers to demand gun control, a measure was struck down on Tuesday by the Republican-held Florida House that would ban assault weapons. The motion was denied by a whopping 71-36 tally. Tuesday's vote came six days after a confessed gunman killed 17 lives at the Parkland, Florida high school. Many of the 3,000 students of the high school have since been vocal in their opposition to status quo gun laws, with the hope of increasing restrictions to posses firearms. The accused gunman, Nikolas Cruz, used an AR-15 type weapon during his massacre, which only lasted several minutes before he tried to blend in with students escaping the school. According to the Associated Press, the bill will likely no longer be considered during this session of the legislature.  898
