Burning Man co-founder Larry Harvey passed away on Saturday, according to festival CEO Marian Goodell. He was 70 years old.Goodell made the announcement through a blog post on Burning Man's website. Charlottesville, Virginia, is again bracing for journalists and protesters to converge on the city as jury selection begins Monday for the man accused of killing Heather Heyer at last year's Unite the Right rally.James Fields of Maumee, Ohio, is accused of plowing his Dodge Challenger into a crowd of counterprotesters during the August 2017 white nationalist gathering, killing Heyer and injuring several other people, police say.Heyer, 32, was a local paralegal and had attended the rally to speak out against white supremacy and racism. (KGTV) — Three people were treated for gunshot wounds and one person was taken into custody in Carlsbad following a shooting Saturday morning.Carlsbad Police responded to calls of shots fired at the Pacific View Apartment Homes complex in the 5100 block of Whitman Way just before 6 a.m.Officers arrived to find a man and woman with gunshot wounds in a courtyard area of the complex. Both were treated by Carlsbad Fire crews and taken to a nearby hospital.MAP: Crime happening in your neighborhoodPolice later located another man with a gunshot wound in the apartment complex. He too was taken to a nearby hospital for treatment.Carlsbad detectives were on the scene Saturday investigating the shooting. Mark Gordon says he has tested positive for the coronavirus, but has only minor symptoms.Gordon said Wednesday that he plans to continue working remotely.The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention recommends people who test positive for the virus isolate themselves for 10 days.Gordon said on Nov. 13 that Wyoming residents need to be more responsible about preventing the spread of the coronavirus.
