With just over a month until the election, Florida and Arizona are emerging as battleground states that are neck-and-neck for President Donald Trump and former vice president Joe Biden.For the first time in 2020, Trump has a slight lead in Florida, according to the Washington Post-ABC News poll. Among participants who said they are likely voters, Trump leads 51-to-47 percent, however this is considered within the margin of error.The poll points out Biden has a 13-point lead among Hispanic registered voters in Florida; four years ago, Hillary Clinton had a 27-point lead among Hispanics and still lost the state.In Arizona, among likely voters, the poll shows Trump and Biden at 49-to-48 percent. Arizona has voted for the Republican presidential candidate for every election since 1952 except once, the re-election of Bill Clinton in 1996.Researchers of this poll note that these percentages are so close the difference is not statistically significant. The margin of sampling error is 4 points among Florida results and 4.5 points among Arizona results.Trump won Florida and Arizona in the last election. In Arizona, Trump won in 2016 by about 90,000 votes. In Florida, Trump won by just over 100,000 votes.When it comes to the issues, Trump gets credit for being trusted to handle the economy, despite the current pandemic-fueled recession. In Florida, registered voters in the survey said they trusted Trump with the economy over Biden 52-to-41 percent. In Arizona, the spread is higher, with registered voters preferring Trump 56-to-41 percent.The economy appears to be the top issue for many this election cycle. About 31 percent of registered voters in Florida said the economy is the single most important issue, and 33 percent of those in Arizona.In handling the coronavirus pandemic, more registered voters trust Biden over Trump, with 48-to-43 percent in Florida and 49-to-45 percent in Arizona. In both states, 57 percent of participants said they were worried about catching the coronavirus.Biden also leads in handling health care, crime and safety, discouraging violence at political protests, and equal treatment of racial groups.Trump’s overall approval rating among registered voters is 47 percent in both states.There is also a big split in how voters of different parties plan to vote on Election Day. In both Florida and Arizona, more than 70 percent of registered Republicans plan on voting in-person on Election Day. Democratic participants are more likely to vote early or absentee/mail-in, more than 60 percent.This latest poll was conducted by landline and cell phone interviews between September 15-20 among 765 registered Florida voters and 701 registered Arizona voters. 2712

When legendary singer Aretha Franklin died, she did not have a will or trust. Her four sons have filed a document listing themselves as interested parties, reports say.Franklin died last week from advanced pancreatic cancer. She was 76.In addition to her sons' filing, Franklin's niece has asked the court to appoint her as a personal representative of the estate, the Detroit Free Press reported. It said under Michigan law, if an unmarried person dies without a will, his or her assets are divided equally among any children.Franklin's lawyer has represented her in entertainment matters for nearly three decades, and told the paper that he constantly asked her to do a trust, but she never got around to it."I was after her for a number of years to do a trust," Los Angeles attorney Don Wilson told the paper. "It would have expedited things and kept them out of probate and kept things private."Wilson is Franklin's attorney in copyright matters, song publishing and record deals, and will be consulted on estate planning purposes. He said while he doesn't have a dollar figure on the value of her assets, the lack of a will means the finances will become public in Oakland County Probate Court."I just hope (Franklin's estate) doesn't end up getting so hotly contested," Wilson said. But this time, it's a live-action version.According to Variety, Bubbles, Blossom, and Buttercup are getting back together for a remake. The premise of The CW show, which is still in development, will be about the girls in their 20s and are resentful because they lost their childhood because they were fighting crime, Variety stated.According to Vulture, Diablo Cody and Heather Regnier will write and executive produce the show.The original animated series aired from 1998 to 2005 on Cartoon Network and was created by Craig McCracken, Deadline reported.Variety reported that there was also a movie in 2002, and Cartoon Network rebooted the animated series in 2016.No word yet on when the live-action series will debut. 807

With a growing number of Americans getting tattoos, there is also a larger number getting them removed. New technology is allowing the process to be more complete with less scarring and blistering.  In some ways, users believe it can undo bad choices.A recent Harris Poll shows tattoos are particularly prevalent among younger generations. About half of millennials and a third of Gen Xers say they have at least one, compared to just 13 percent of Baby Boomers. One in eight millennials have regrets about at least one tattoo. The men who own and run "ReversaTatt" David Cope and Wesley Henderson, say they are helping people erase those regrets, one laser session at a time.When a person gets a tattoo, it's a memory of the start of a chapter in life.  They can remember the whole experience of choosing the design and the placement.  In some ways, the laser can offer a page turn into a new chapter: one without that tattoo.Two women, Stephanie Goodman and Stephanie Gray, each came to ReversaTatt recently seeking tattoo removal assistance."They all came from different places and they all have different meanings, but I'm going to keep all these ones, they're not going anywhere," explained Gray.  Gray came to ReversaTatt for her first session to remove a design along her neck.  She says the story why it's coming off is private, but she would like this tattoo to disappear."It was a name, yeah, so it's going to be gone," said Gray.After a consultation, Cope points the PiQo laser at her neck and says, "here comes the heat." In 13 seconds, he backs off. WILSON, N.C. – The father of a 5-year-old boy who was fatally shot outside his North Carolina home says he cannot understand why someone would want to harm his son.Austin Hinnant told WRAL that his son, Cannon, was playing on his bike in the yard of their Wilson home when he heard a gunshot while inside.Hinnant says he ran outside and found Cannon suffering from a gunshot wound to his head. He scooped his son up in his arms and screamed for someone to help.The father claims he looked up and saw his neighbor, Darius Sessoms, in the yard next door, with a gun in his hand, pacing."I was looking at him as I was picking up Cannon,” Hinnant told WRAL. “I was so full of rage, but I couldn't leave my son's side. I wanted to be with my son."The boy was rushed to an area hospital, where he later died.A warrant was issued for Sessoms and police say he was taken into custody on Monday. The 25-year-old has been charged with 1st degree murder and is being held without bond.Sessoms doesn’t appear to be a stranger to the family. Hinnant says he had Sessoms over for dinner just the night before."I have no idea why he would kill my son in front of his two sisters and his cousin,” Hinnant told WRAL. “I have no idea."Law enforcement has not provided any details regarding a possible motive for Cannon’s murder.A funeral for the little boy was held Thursday. WNCN reports that hundreds gathered at the Shingleton Funeral Home in Wilson to pay their respects, including Cannon’s grandmother, Merrill Race.Race told WNCN that Cannon was “just a kid trying to have fun in his own yard and something like this happens.
