CAMPO, Calif. (KGTV) -- Three people were taken to the hospital and two others are in custody after a Border Patrol chase led to a crash in Campo Tuesday night. According to Border Patrol, agents tried to stop a 23-year-old San Diego resident driving a blue Mazda MPV around 5:05 p.m. near Old Highway 80 and McCain Valley Road for possible immigration-related violations. The driver refused to stop, sparking the chase. During the chase, agents say the woman drove onto Shasta Way at a “high rate of speed” before driving over a dip and losing control of the vehicle. According to border patrol, the 23-year-old had minor injuries and was taken to the hospital. Border Patrol says four men were found in the back of the vehicle. The men are between the ages of 24 and 39 and all claim to be residents of Mexico. Two of the men were taken to the hospital for treatment while the other two were taken into custody after refusing medical aid, Border Patrol says. 1139

CARLSBAD, Calif. (KGTV) - Tuesday night a teen was seen on camera stealing a decoration right off a home's walkway.The Klus family moved to Bressi Ranch three months ago, from Boston, and were thrilled to become part of the neighborhood tradition."I'm totally blown away I had no idea it was this extensive and this creative and it's incredible the scenes of it come up with the kids are loving it," Visitor Amanda Alcorn said."When we moved here the kids were super excited super pumped to be included in the decorating," Nora Klus said. She has a daughter in 5th grade and a son in 2nd grade.They transformed their entry into Skele-topia, a night at the movies.Wednesday morning she noticed something was wrong. She looked at the footage on her Ring Neighbors App from the night before, "I saw a few, it looked like teenagers, and then the last one in the group just snatched our little decoration.""My son was crushed, he was like why would anyone do that?" (KGTV) -- A 16-year-old boy was killed and seven other teenagers were taken to the hospital after a rollover crash on a Carlsbad street early Wednesday morning.Carlsbad police said the solo-vehicle crash happened at around 2:15 a.m. on Carlsbad Village Drive at Valley Street.According to police, an Toyota 4-Runner SUV with eight people inside rolled over for unknown reasons. A teenage male passenger died at the scene, a lieutenant at the scene told 10News. Family members identified the 16-year-old to 10News as Jack Munday. A GoFundMe to assist the family with expenses has been started here.Police said the female driver and six other passengers survived the crash, but 10News learned three of the survivors crawled out of the wreckage and fled. Those three people returned to the scene a short time later.Three other survivors got out of the vehicle and remained at the scene, while responding firefighters freed a passenger that was trapped inside.Police said the survivors were taken to area hospitals for treatment of injuries "ranging from minor to serious."Police confirmed the seven survivors, including the SUV’s driver, are under the age of 18.According to police, alcohol is not believed to be a factor in the crash but they are looking at the possibility the SUV was traveling at a high rate of speed before the rollover.Lilli O’Connell could hardly hold back the tears as she watched crews working to get the mangled SUV onto a tow truck.“We are a tight community; It’s sad, it’s really sad. I mean, 16 to 18 [years old], that can be anyone at my school. This could happen to anyone,” O’Connell said.O’Connell said she was on this same road Tuesday night because of a get-together in the neighborhood.“I would hope none of those kids are from that party because that ended at 11 p.m. and there was no drinking involved there,” she told 10News reporter Marie Coronel.O’Connell’s father Jim said speed is always a concern for him on this street.He added, “It’s just sad. I mean, again, it’s a parent’s worst nightmare. Carey Dean Moore, 60, a convicted murderer of two 47-year-old fathers in 1979, has become Nebraska's first execution by lethal injection.The execution by lethal injection — by way of a four-drug combination that's never been previously used in an execution — started at 10 a.m. Tuesday, as scheduled. He was declared dead at 10:47 a.m. Tuesday."This agency has done so with professionalism, respect for the process, and dignity for all involved," said Department of Corrections Director Scott Frakes in a press conference following the execution.The body will be remanded into the custody of the Nebraska State Patrol, he said, and an autopsy will be conducted.Ten witnesses observed Tuesday's execution: three inmate witnesses, a member of the clergy, four media witnesses, and two staff members.During the press conference, media witness Grant Schulte of the Associated Press recounted the details of Moore's final moments, as well as his final statement:"Just the statement that I hand-delivered to you already about my brother, Donny, and the innocent men on Nebraska's Death Row."Omaha World-Herald reporter Joe Duggan, another of the media witnesses, said Moore remained composed throughout the process."He certainly looked maybe slightly shaken.
