A police officer in Columbus, Ohio, was arrested on Thursday on two child pornography related counts, Franklin County Prosecutor Ron O’Brien said.Officer Raymond Rose, 29, was arrested on two second degree felony counts of illegal use of a minor in nudity related material and for pandering obscene material involving a minor. Rose is accused by O’Brien’s office of illegally filming a nude minor on July 20, 2020 inside a Columbus residence.O’Brien said that Rose was a member of the police’s patrol division for five years.WCMH-TV confirmed that Rose was placed on administrative leave and does not have arrest power during his leave.“When criminal activity is discovered, our duty is to investigate and pursue the appropriate action based on the evidence,” Columbus Division of Police Chief Tom Quinlan said in a statement to WCMH. “The fact that it involves one of our own does not change that. A North Korean soldier was shot by his former comrades while defecting to South Korea across the demilitarized zone, Seoul's Joint Chiefs of Staff said in a statement Monday.The wounded soldier was evacuated from the site for emergency medical attention, the statement said, after defecting from a North Korean guard post at the Joint Security Area (JSA) on the heavily-guarded border between the two countries.The soldier is reported to have left the North Korean guard post in front of Panmungak, on the border inside the demilitarized zone (DMZ), and proceeded to move towards Freedom House on the South Korean side. 627

A Texas man has been arrested after police said he was searching the dark web for a young girl to kill and to eat.Alexander Nathan Barter, age 21 of Shelby County, Texas, is in police custody ... he allegedly told an undercover officer of his plan, KTRE television station reports. He allegedly wrote a post on the dark web seeking others to help him commit necrophilia and cannibalism, KTRE reports. He gave two encrypted email addresses, and a special agent working undercover contacted him.The agent told Barter he had a daughter he could kill, and when Barter went to meet who he believed would be an accomplice and his "daughter," he was arrested.Barter is in jail and faces charges of criminal solicitation, criminal attempt: capital murder, conspiracy to commit capital murder and criminal attempt: sexual performance on a child, all felonies, KTRE?reports. 882

A Phoenix restaurant caught a woman posing as a high school cheer mom to pocket money.The employees at Fry Bread House were skeptical when a woman came in asking for donations.“She told us our manager had ordered us brownies and cookies for a donation,” said Chef Kris Harris. The woman said the money would go to the Xavier College Preparatory cheer squad.Fry Bread House employees called their owner. She spoke with the woman and quickly realized they were being scammed.The restaurant alerted Xavier officials, who had already received two other reports of this same behavior. “I guess she just looked like a normal woman trying to raise money for her kid,” Harris explained. “It kind of blows your mind. I guess everybody is trying to find a new way to get something.”Xavier officials confirmed the scam and want people to be aware.  874
