You've probably heard the saying before that dogs and their owners look alike. Now, new research says their personalities end up matching, too!Dog owner Michael Wolz says he shares similar personality traits to his 9-year-old golden doodle, Jack. "He's a big, lazy guy. Likes to lay around,” Wolz describes of Jack. “He likes to bounce off the walls when he gets a chance, too. But other than that, he's just trying to take it easy." A new study out by Michigan State University found that it's actually very common for pet owners and their dogs to take on each other’s personalities. Pet owner Annie Ernst feels she and her dog, Harper, are one in the same. "I always want to be in the know about everything and be involved and go up to people and say hi, and she is the same way," Ernst says. Ernst says her and Harper were compatible from the start. "I feel like she picked us," she says. Both Ernst and Wolz say they love sharing similar personality traits with their dogs and feels it brings them closer together. 1033
President Donald Trump's attorney Jay Sekulow announced Sunday that Joseph diGenova and Victoria Toensing will not join Trump's legal team for the Russia probe."The President is disappointed that conflicts prevent Joe diGenova and Victoria Toensing from joining the President's Special Counsel legal team. However, those conflicts do not prevent them from assisting the President in other legal matters. The President looks forward to working with them," Sekulow said in a statement. The announcement on Sunday came as Trump insisted on Twitter he was not having a hard time assembling a legal team for the Russia probe, and after CNN reported on Friday that diGenova and Toensing's roles in the legal team were still in question. Two sources previously told CNN that there was concern about diGenova and Toensing's conflicts. The pair make up a husband-and-wife legal team, and two sources noted that Toensing represents clients who are connected to the special counsel probe led by former FBI Director Robert Mueller.Sekulow announced last Monday?that diGenova would be joining the legal team, and sources told CNN that both diGenova and Toensing met with Trump on Thursday. That same day, Trump's lead lawyer, John Dowd, resigned from Trump's personal legal team in the Russia investigation. The possibility of diGenova's hire attracted widespread attention to the legal figure's brash comments about the Russia investigation, including the assertion that Trump had been "framed" by FBI and Justice Department officials. 1559

(AP) -- Lowe's Cos. is laying off thousands of employees at its U.S. stores as it outsources some of their duties to outside companies. The home-improvement chain, based in Mooresville, North Carolina, declined to say exactly how many employees were affected. But The Wall Street Journal reported that thousands of employees were told this week that their jobs were eliminated, which the company confirmed.Lowe's spokeswoman Jackie Pardini Hartzell said Thursday that the cuts are coming as the company moves to third-party assemblers and facility services to allow store associates to spend more time on the sales floor serving customers. Previously some store workers did assembly work, such a constructing floor models, and janitorial work. Hartzell said that employees in these positions will have the opportunity to apply for other open roles at Lowe's.She said the company is not disclosing how many are affected as the number of employees impacted varies by store and the company has a strong track record of retaining associates in other roles within the company.Lowe's, under its relatively new CEO Marvin Ellison, is trying to return its focus to its home improvement chain and streamline its business. After Ellison took the reins last year, he thinned executive positions at the company and began paring away weaker selling items in its stores. Lowe's also sold announced last summer that it was closing the 99 Orchard Supply Hardware stores it owns in California, Florida and Oregon. And it wants to bolster its business with professionals, something that has been Home Depot's forte. 1603

SAN DIEGO — SAN DIEGO (KGTV) - Chantal Breyfogle knows all too well the importance of early detection. Even though she has no family history and does self exam routines regularly, she's been diagnosed twice with breast cancer."I feel like I have double the opportunity and double the responsibility to make sure I give other women the opportunity to become a survivor," said Breyfogle.A big part of that is help from the Susan G. Komen Foundation. All of the money raised during their Race for the Cure 5K stays in San Diego. This event helps pay for mammograms, biopsies, support resources, and other medical needs for those who need it.Shaina Gross, the President and CEO of the Susan G. Komen Foundation San Diego Chapter says, " We hear all the time where people have to pay for their medication or their rent. And we don't want anyone to have to make that decision."Added support, Breyfogle says, is helpful as you deal with a disease that affects six women in San Diego a day. This disease also claims the life of one person a day.Breyfogle says, "I hope we will find cures and treatments so the next generation won't have to do this." 1151
