DETROIT — It's a video that has gone viral. A man running with deer in Oak Park, Michigan. It's like a moment straight out of a movie. "This is my parade," said Jared Wein in the viral video. "These are my pets. Sunday morning fun run!”Wein is now becoming known as the "Deer Whisperer.""I’ve heard deer whisperer," he said. "I’ve heard 'the next Disney princess.' "And really, how else can you explain Wein's wildlife magnetism?"Whenever I would stop, they would stop too, and then when I run they were running," Wein said.He was running from Royal Oak to Southfield to visit his wife at work. She also cautions other people who may see deer in non-wildlife settings."Male deer especially can become aggressive toward people," Vaughn said. He lost his son, Joaquin, in the Parkland school shooting.Sunday would've been Joaquin's 19th birthday.Oliver was already scheduled to be in El Paso, Texas, this weekend, putting a mural up at an immigrant advocacy center, when the mass shooting happened Saturday."Because it is his birthday, we always try to put together things that Joaquin would do," Oliver said. "And this is something that Joaquin will be very happy to do. Scream out his support for the immigrants."He is continuing with the mural, but hasn't said what it will be yet, only saying it will show support for the city of El Paso. People will have to just wait until it is revealed."This is the reason why we are here," the artist said. "Now, yesterday, 29 people were shot down, just like Joaquin.“It's very painful. And, um, I think ... somebody needs to do the dirty job."Murals like the one he is painting in El Paso have been Oliver's post-Parkland calling.“I'm not taking this as a new norm, " Oliver said. But Hunter has found relief in an unexpected way."The first day they came in here I was having a really bad morning. I was really close to crying, actually," he said. "And the dogs all jumped on my bed, started licking my face. I don't know what it is about a dog licking your face but snapped right out of it."The dogs are a part of the Walter Reed Bethesda Facility Dog Program, and Sully is perhaps its best known participant."Just walking down the hall we get stopped regularly to want to pet Sully, to have a picture with Sully, to meet Sully," Samantha Murdock, Sully's handler, said.But for Hunter, it's not Sully's fame that impresses him. It's how Sully and the other dogs can make such a difference."I was at a point where I was ready to commit suicide and I had a couple friend that were in the Navy and saw it," Hunter said.
