BUFFALO, New York — Many 3-to-4-year-old students in Buffalo, New York schools are coming to class without being properly potty trained, teachers in the district are now saying.According to the Buffalo Teachers Federation, teachers and teacher aides often find themselves stepping away from class to change diapers. The union now wants the district to create a specific potty training policy."The bottom line on it is, as far as I'm concerned, children should come to school potty trained,” Phil Rumore, President of the Buffalo Teachers Federation, said. “If they're not it's not the kid's fault." Authorities are trying to figure out how bricks of cocaine worth more than million wound up in banana shipments delivered to three grocery stores in Washington state.The drugs were found Sunday at Safeway stores in Woodinville, Bellingham and Federal Way.Produce workers at the Woodinville store were putting the bananas out on the sales floor when they saw something strange, said Sgt. Ryan Abbott with the King County Sheriff's Office."One of the boxes had brown paper in it, which caught their attention and then they looked further and found these bricks," Abbott said. "They called the police and we went out there and it ended up being 22 kilos of cocaine with a street value of 0,000."That's almost 50 pounds of cocaine.The cocaine was surrounded by ordinary boxes of bananas, which were stuck together for shipment, Abbott said."We're still trying to determine where it all came from. A school in Washington, D.C. called The Lab is already training dancers in breakdancing to prepare them for Team USA.Competitive break dancer Evan Sletten has been a taking classes at The Lab for six years.“A lot of upper body strength goes into it,” Sletten describes of the sport.Sletten says he would describe it as an athletic dance. “Competitive breaking is very different in the sense that there’s rules,” explains The Lab owner Antonio Castillo. “There’s a point system. You have a referee. You have different criteria in place to make sure it’s a fair sport.”Castillo has considered breakdancing a sport for a long time, and he already uses an Olympic scoring model for his students.“We use a 10-point system and all of criteria is the definition of what the dance is, so you can’t argue against it because those are the elements that make up the dance,” Castillo says.Sletten says the point system helps with improvement.“It’s great because if you need to improve, you’re not just seeing win or lose,” he explains. “You’re seeing each category, every little thing that you did right that you did wrong.”In a way, this group of competitive break dancers has been gearing up for the gold for years already. California marijuana users can now turn to their smartphones to find out if a dispensary is legit.The Bureau of Cannabis Control on Thursday announced a program encouraging licensed cannabis retailers to post QR codes in their store windows.
