Matt Dobbs said the suspect has been identified as Leonardo Hurtado Ibarra, 25, of San Diego.Ibarra remains in the Intensive Care Unit with life- threatening injuries, according to Dobbs.--SAN DIEGO (KGTV ) -- Two San Diego Police Department officers have been placed on paid leave after they shot and wounded a man who pointed a gun at one of the officers during a confrontation in downtown Saturday night.According to witnesses, shots rang out around 6 p.m. near the corner of 6th Avenue and B Street, a few blocks east of the San Diego Civic Center.SDPD said that officers spotted a man wanted in connection with a robbery that happened earlier this week.Police said officers tried to talk with the man but he walked away.
