ANAHEIM, Calif. (KGTV) - Several Downtown Disney businesses will shutter their doors this summer to make room for a new 700-room hotel near Disneyland.The hotel will occupy the west end of the district, offering guests a new gateway to Disneyland via the park's iconic monorail.In the process, several businesses will close in Downtown Disney: AMC 12 Theatres, Rainforest Cafe, ESPN Zone, Earl of Sandwich, Alamo Rent-a-Car, and the west-end Starbucks.RELATED: Take a virtual walk through Disney Parks with new 360-degree panoramas on Google Street ViewDisney Vacation Club and Walt Disney Travel Company offices in the area will also be relocated. "Our plans represent our commitment to Anaheim and continued growth and transformation of Downtown Disney, and future Disneyland Resort, including our new hotel, which will create 2,500 jobs between construction and operation," Suzi Brown, a Disneyland Resort spokesperson, said. American soybean farmers are still waiting to see the benefit of President Donald Trump's trade truce with China.The President said Tuesday that China is "back in the market" to buy American soybeans -- but farmers said that was the first they had heard of any change since July, when China retaliated against new American tariffs by blocking imports of US agricultural products."I've heard rumors that they're going to buy our beans and put them in reserve, but I don't see ships sitting in our ports to haul them to China yet," said John Heisdorffer, an Iowa soybean grower and chairman of the American Soybean Association, on Wednesday."I hate to say it this way, but everything so far has been talk. The reality is, you want to see something before you actually feel good about it," he added.Another Iowa soybean grower, Dustin Sage, also told CNN Wednesday that he hadn't "heard anything concrete yet" about new orders from China.Soybean farmers have been hit hard by the US-China trade dispute. The 3-year-old orca's condition is so poor, she may not survive and is running out of time, scientists said.
