SAN DIEGO (KGTV) - San Diego County Crime Stoppers and police investigators announced Tuesday a reward to find a woman suspected of identity theft and using fraudulent credit cards at Walmart. The woman opened two separate credit card accounts at the Murphy Canyon and Grossmont Center stores Dec. 18, according to the San Diego Police Department’s Economic Crimes Unit. The woman bought ,500 worth of items at each store. Police said the woman also tried to open fraudulent credit accounts at a Marshalls and Target store in Kearny Mesa, but was unsuccessful. The woman later went to a Chase Bank and took nearly ,000 in cash from the bank account of a victim whose identity she stole, police said. The victim’s credit monitoring service notified her of the fraudulent activity. Investigators believe the suspect is using a fake identification card using the victim’s basic information. The victim doesn’t know how the woman obtained her personal data, police said. The suspect, who is white and in her mid 20s to late 30s, was wearing a dark-colored wig while at the bank. SAN DIEGO (KGTV) - San Diego Police released a composite sketch Tuesday in the search for a man suspected of trying to kidnap a 3-year-old girl in the Morena area. The incident happened Sunday about 4:30 p.m. as the girl’s mother was taking her daughter for a walk in her wagon on Savannah Street at Buenos Avenue, police said. The area is residential and two blocks away from busy Morena Boulevard. A man parked his sedan but left the engine running, then approached the mother and child from behind, according to investigators. Over the last year, about 106,000 San Diegans have lost their payroll jobs. San Diego's recovering job market is facing new headwinds from the latest round of coronavirus restrictions. The purple tier bans indoor dining and limits retail capacity to 25%. And on Saturday, the governor's curfew of 10 p.m. to 5 a.m. goes into effect. SAN DIEGO (KGTV) -- San Diego Police have released video footage after officers shot and killed a murder suspect following a standoff on May 29.The 32-year-old suspect who was shot and killed was accused of shooting and killing another man at a City Heights apartment complex.The video shows officer stationed outside the apartment complex. Watch the full video below:According to police, gunfire was reported at the complex on the 3800 block of Euclid Avenue around 3:30 p.m.Officers later found a 62-year-old Hispanic man with at least one gunshot wound.
