Two students were taken into custody after they set up a GoFundMe account to raise money for ammunition to "shoot up" Combs High School in San Tan Valley, Arizona, according to the Pinal County Sheriff's Office. Last week, deputies responded to the school for a report of a threat.According to PCSO, a student reported to school officials that they had overheard two students talking about bringing a gun to school. Deputies say a 15-year-old student had threatened to file off the serial number of a gun and bring it to campus. A second student reportedly helped the 15-year-old set up a GoFundMe account to raise money for ammunition. "The site explained that ammunition was expensive and they needed help to shoot up Combs High School," PCSO said in a statement. The first student did not have any weapons, but the second student did have access to weapons at his home, deputies said.The second student reportedly told deputies that he did not know who created the GoFundMe account but was there when it was created. The GoFundMe account has since been removed, deputies said. Both students were arrested and charged with conspiracy to commit terrorism and interference or disruption of an education institution.  1264

VALLEY CENTER, Calif. (KGTV) -- The owner of a Valley Center pizza shop was arrested for alleged sexual battery, according to the San Diego County Sheriff’s Department. According to the Department, Mark Desimone, the owner of Pizza Pazza was arrested on September 5 for multiple counts of sexual battery. The department says the arrest stems from an investigation by detectives in Valley Center. According to investigators, the incidents occurred at Pizza Pazza at an unspecified time. UNIVERSITY CITY (KGTV) -- Several University City residents were rescued from their apartment balconies early Monday morning after their building became flooded in up to four feet of water from a busted fire hydrant.The incident first started around 1:30 a.m. when a motorist in an SUV crashed into a fire hydrant in the 9000 block of Genesee Avenue, in front of the Canyon Park Apartments across from La Jolla Country Day School.The sheared fire hydrant created a geyser that flooded the adjacent apartment building. Several lower level units became submerged in up to four feet of water. Some residents were forced out onto their balconies as waterfalls cascaded through their apartments and into the canyon below.Firefighters were able to rescue those trapped on their balconies without further incident. It took crews about a half hour to turn off the water.The American Red Cross was called in to help 22 adults, six dogs and a cat arrange for another place to stay.The driver told officers he fell asleep before crashing into the fire hydrant, San Diego Police officer Tony Martinez said. 1107

VALLEY CENTER, Calif. (KGTV) - A North San Diego County resident resorted to Wild West measures after he was the victim of a crime, creating "Wanted: Dead or Alive" posters to find a thief.The San Diego Sheriff’s Office says approximately ,800 worth of items ranging from power tools to a mountain bike were stolen from a home on Valley Center Road on February 16.SDSO was working the case when the homeowner told deputies he had hung posters with the suspect’s image bearing ‘wanted dead or alive’ and the station’s number around town.“We don’t encourage vigilantism,” said Sgt. Russell Ryan.Ryan says SDSO asked the man to remove the posters but the man claimed he was exercising his first amendment rights.SDSO’s Valley Center substation took to Twitter to clarify they were, in fact, looking for the suspect but there was not a death warrant for alleged thief.Deputies were able identify the suspect as 23-year-old Jose Martinez, thanks to the homeowner's surveillance video. Martinez was taken into custody on Wednesday.Martinez is currently being held at the Vista Detention Facility on several burglary-related charges and is believed to be related to other recent thefts, according to SDSO.Sgt.
