(KGTV) - A Girl Scout troop fundraiser is ruffling a few feathers in Point Loma, over a name that some people think is too risque for the girls.Troop 4920 started the "Get Flocked" project this spring, offering to cover people's yards in plastic flamingos for a donation."We took our name from the "Got Milk" campaign," says Troop Leader Cam Bowman. "So we were like, hey, let's do "Got Flocked?" Then we turned it to the present tense, 'Get Flocked.' "Bowman says someone complained to the local Girl Scout council that the name sounds too much like a profanity. She was surprised when she learned of the complaint."You know, I think that happens with everything in life," she says. "We're always going to have controversy. We have controversy when we sell cookies!"For their part, the scouts say they don't think the name has anything to do with a dirty word. They're having too much fun planting flamingos to think about that."You get in and get out," says Scout Elyse Bonar. "You don't want people to see you. That's kind of the whole point, be like ninjas."The girls ask for a donation to "flock" somebody's yard within their Troop's zip code boundaries. They'll also remove the flamingos if requested.They're trying to raise money to attend the annual ceremony in San Francisco where thousands of Junior Scouts walk across the Golden Gate Bridge together as they get promoted to Cadet Scouts. It's a symbolic coming of age moment for the girls.Elyse says working to raise the money for the trip, even with a fun flamingo project, has taught her a valuable life lesson."It's taught me how if you want to get something, don't quit, keep going and try your hardest to get your goal," she says.The "Get Flocked" project is one of several that Troop 4920 do over the year. The money they raise from cookie sales goes to local charities. They're also collecting used markers to send to Crayola for recycling.As for the controversy over the name, Bowman says the Girl Scout leaders left it up to her and the Troop to decide what to do. They chose to keep the project going forward, with the same name."We have to put those decisions back on the girls," she says. "Money-earning projects are hard. Cookie sales are hard. PASADENA, Calif. -- Police are searching for the person they say dropped a basketball-sized boulder from a highway overpass onto a car, killing a pregnant widow’s husband, according to ABC News.The incident happened on Tuesday night in Pasadena, California.Guadalupe Gutierrez said she was driving home with her husband, Christopher Lopez, her mother and 4-year-old daughter when a 35-pound boulder went through the windshield and struck Lopez.Gutierrez took him to the hospital where he later died.The California Highway Patrol said the incident is an intentional act by a “careless person or persons.” 611

Phone calls between President Donald Trump's personal attorney, Michael Cohen, and the White House are being monitored by the Federal Bureau of Investigations, according to a report.Cohen's phones are being monitored through a log of which numbers it connects with, the report says. President Trump and Cohen have had at least one conversation since Cohen's offices were raided in connection to an alleged payment the attorney made to a porn star who says she had an affair with Trump.The report says the phone monitoring was approved by a judge weeks prior to the April 9 raid on Cohen's house in New York City. In the raid, authorities seized files related to the alleged payment Cohen made to Stormy Daniels for 0,000. The money was allegedly to pay her to keep quiet about the affair she says she and Trump had in 2006.An earlier report said Cohen's phones had been wire-tapped, but that was found to be false. 950

Police have apprehended a suspect in Phoenix after a lengthy pursuit on Tuesday afternoon. According to Phoenix police, the vehicle in the pursuit was part of an armed robbery investigation. At one point during the pursuit, the suspect carjacked a woman in Tolleson, Arizona.Watch chase in video player below.  333

PHOENIX, Arizona — "I would go out by myself, I would hang out with whoever wanted to hang out but my real relationships were all failing," said Stephani Krise.That's because Krise says the only relationship she cared about was the one she had with alcohol.Constant partying after work, binge drinking, stints in the hospital and traditional rehab seemed hopeless."After I relapsed and I couldn't stay sober, I kind of had given up hope," said Krise.Another woman, Sarah Kennedy, says her long addiction to alcohol had affected friendships, her career and of course, her health.And like Krise, Kennedy was willing to try just about anything."Read about it on the web and just seemed too good to be true," said Kennedy.What she read about is the Sinclair method.Her first appointment she met with a doctor, got a prescription, took a pill, and later that day, had a drink, doctors’ orders of course.If the protocol seems like a radical idea, that's because it is."I mean I think it's time to change the way addiction treatment’s been for a long time," said Dr. Michael Yasinski.Dr. Yasinski is spear heading that effort at his Scottsdale office."It's founded in science and data which is why I liked it," said Dr. Yasinski.Every one of his patients gets to continue drinking as long as they take the anti-addiction drug Naltrexone one hour before they knock one back. The pill works to block pleasure sensors in the brain. He says combined with psycho-therapy the cravings go away."It's not seeing or enjoying alcohol like it normally does, so it starts to lose interest over time," said Dr. Yasinski."I came back two weeks later and he said 'how did you do,' and I said well I felt great cause I didn't have to change a thing," said Kennedy.But what did change, was the desire to drink. Both report drinking isn't a problem anymore. This coming as nearly 70 percent of traditional rehab patients relapse within the first year."To me, it’s like there is no relapse, you just keep going and keep improving," said Kennedy."I just feel so much better about myself and that's what makes the difference," said Krise.A true testament to what taking a chance can lead to.So why are we just hearing about this now? Traditionally alcoholism has been treated as a moral issue rather than a medical one.According to those in the treatment industry, most doctors just aren’t trained in this type of treatment.
