BONSALL, Calif. (KGTV) — Deputies are investigating a use of force incident Thursday after a suspect stopped breathing after being restrained for reportedly biting a deputy.San Diego Sheriff's deputies responded to a disturbance call at about 4:30 a.m. at the Circle K convenience store at Old Highway 395 and Highway 76.Upon arriving, deputies said they encountered a man behaving erratically. Deputies said they asked him several times to leave the property and he then swung at them, prompting an altercation.An SDSO detective said the suspect bit a deputy in the web of the hand, badly enough that the deputy has to get stitches.After biting the deputy, the man was placed in a full body restraint and loaded him into an ambulance, according to SDSO. No firearms were discharged.Officials say while the suspect was in paramedic's care, he stopped breathing. BEAUMONT, Calif. (KGTV) -- San Diego County Fire-Rescue announced Saturday that it sent firefighters from the department to help battle the Apple Fire burning in Riverside County.According to the agency, crews left early Saturday morning to join the fight against the blaze.Strike team deployments usually last 14 days, but can be reduced or last longer, depending on the incident, the department said.“California has a very strong mutual aid system and it kicks into gear for wildfires to support fire agencies in our state and others,” the agency added.The North County Fire Protection District said later in the day it sent two units to battle the blaze. The Poway Firefighters Association also said it sent crews to assist with the Apple Fire. As of Sunday morning, the fire had scorched 15,000 acres and was 0% contained, according to KABC. One home has so far been destroyed with another 2,500 threatened. The Apple Fire began as two separate blazes in Cherry Valley Friday evening. BALTIMORE, Maryland — A man running away from the Baltimore Police died after being hit by a car last week.Officers were conducting a narcotics investigation in the 2700 block of Greenmount Avenue around 8:30 p.m. March 28. When they tried to talk to 21-year-old Larry Whitfield during the investigation, he immediately started to run away. Whitfield was able to escape officers and tried to cross Greenmount Avenue when he was hit by a car traveling southbound. He was transported to a hospital where he died Friday morning. The driver of the car was not injured and stayed on the scene after the crash. Detectives are working with the narcotics unit to evaluate all the evidence from the scene. No charges have been filed against the driver at this time.  785

But for one filmmaker in Barcelona, a canceled family ski trip turned into an opportunity to bring adventure home to his living room.Philipp Klein Herrero is fanatical about skiing.“I am always skiing,” he said. “It's my passion.”So, when the pandemic lockdown forced him to cancel a long-planned family ski trip to France, the filmmaker decided to create a video for them.“I wanted to send them love from where I am and that's how the idea came about.”He taped a GoPro to his ceiling and cleared the room, bringing to life the adventure of a lifetime – on his living room floor.“It starts with me waking up on the side of the mountain in my sleeping bag and having my skis right next to me,” he said. “Once, it gets too steep to walk I switch into ice-climbing mode.”Over the next six and a half hours Klein painstakingly captured this stop-motion odyssey – one frame at a time.
