In response to the Supreme Court's ruling that his administration cannot include a question asking about citizenship on the 2020 Census under the reasoning the Trump administration provided, President Donald Trump Thursday called for the census to be delayed."Seems totally ridiculous that our government, and indeed Country, cannot ask a basic question of Citizenship in a very expensive, detailed and important Census, in this case for 2020. I have asked the lawyers if they can delay the Census, no matter how long, until the United States Supreme Court is given additional information from which it can make a final and decisive decision on this very critical matter. Can anyone really believe that as a great Country, we are not able the ask whether or not someone is a Citizen. Only in America!" Trump said in a span of two tweets. As part of its ruling, the Supreme Court said the Trump administraiton could offer a new explanation for including a citizenship test, but that it's unlikely the administration would be able to do so before the next census begins in 2020.The US Census was set up in Article 1, Section 2 of the Constitution. It's taken place on time every 10 years since 1790. The census, or counting of the population, determines how many seats each state receives in the House of Representatives and helps states determine district maps. 1371

IRVING, Texas – A cable man is accused of stabbing an 83-year-old woman to death in her Texas home. Officers with the Irving Police Department found the woman, Betty Thomas, dead in her home at about 6 p.m. on Thursday, Dec. 12. “Upon arrival, officers discovered 83-year-old Betty Thomas deceased from multiple stab wounds,” said Media Relations Officer Robert Reeves. The next day, police say they arrested 43-year-old Roy James Holden Jr. in Mesquite, Texas, and charged him with capital murder in connection with Thomas’ death. “We do know that the suspect worked for a utility service provider and that is how he knew Miss Thomas,” said Reeves. Holden worked as a cable installer for Spectrum, but he was off duty at the time of the crime and has since been terminated, WTVT reports. In a 806

Webb as the special prosecutor, Cook County Circuit Court Judge Michael Toomin now gives an independent, experienced trial attorney the authority and time to examine why Cook County State's Attorney Kim Foxx dropped 16 disorderly conduct charges against Smollett after a high-profile Chicago Police investigation that lasted several weeks using dozens of investigators.Webb will have authority to file new charges, if deemed appropriate, against Smollett following his investigation. The gay black actor claimed in January that he was the victim of a hate-fueled attack, but police in February claimed Smollett staged it.Smollett, 36, was indicted on 16 felony counts but prosecutors 1021

If you have filled up your vehicle's gas tank in recent days, you probably paid more than you did last month per gallon for gas. The price of gas is up 30 cents a gallon over the last month. Drivers in California have particularly seen a large increase. Prices there have increased by 55 cents to .87 per gallon. AAA says that unexpected and planned maintenance have contributed to an increase in fuel prices.Gas prices are also up 10 cents from this time last year. Summertime gas prices peaked at nearly a gallon last summer. In some regions, gas prices can jump without any notice.
