DETROIT, Mich. — A Detroit mother lost her battle with COVID-19 after giving birth to a baby boy. The 33-year-old woman, Erika Becerra, passed away before she could even hold her newborn son in her arms. Becerra had no underlying conditions other than her pregnancy. Her family is understandably heartbroken after the unbelievable tragedy. Thankfully, Becerra's husband, 1-year-old daughter and newborn son all tested negative for the coronavirus. DEL MAR, Calif. (KGTV) - Polo spectators will enjoy a new venue this month as the San Diego Polo Classic moves to the Del Mar Fairgrounds. The event, previously held on the beach at the Hotel Del Coronado, will take space Sept. 28 at the Del Mar Arena. Two games will take place, including one pitting the Porsche San Diego team against an all-Hawaiian Tommy Bahamas team. During a polo match, players on horseback try to hit as many goals as possible. Each team has four players. The match is broken into four time periods called chukkas, each lasting seven minutes. Much of the sport is about what happens off the field. Details emerged about what happened to a Port St. Lucie, Florida woman and her boyfriend, both found murdered in their homes in February. He was transported to a local hospital where he died.“We have previously released that Chip Anderson died as a result of natural causes,” said Mascara. “Toxicology results have returned and indicated no presence of drugs or alcohol and his final cause of death has been ruled a heart attack.”At 9:58 a.m. that morning, deputies then responded to 606 Ash Avenue and found Legg dead inside her garage and wrapped in a rug. “Her cause of death has been contributed to multiple stab wounds,” Mascara said.Legg was Anderson's aunt by marriage."She was the primary figure in Chip Anderson's life. Both on an emotional and financial standpoint," Sheriff Mascara said. "It is very clear that Chip relied on Gabriele very immensely."Deputies also confirmed that Anderson worked with Legg in her painting business.“We don’t believe there was any sort of romantic relationship between them, but it’s clear that Gabriele was very important to Chip," said Mascara.The sheriff said Anderson lived with Legg and stayed in the house with her body for days. It is believed she was killed around Feb. 19."We believe she was killed in a bedroom. He kept her in that bedroom for sometime, and then dragged her through the house. DESCHUTES COUNTY, Ore. -- A missing Oregon baby was found naked and lying in the dirt by a detective last week near Bend, according to authorities.On May 10, deputies say a man, identified as Brandon Blouin, came out of the woods asking for law enforcement after losing his 1-year-old son.Blouin told deputies that he and the baby's 18-year-old mother, along with the child, were staying in the forest when the woman walked away and didn’t return.Blouin went looking for the woman. He told deputies he set the 1-year-old down and left him.Deputies say Blouin is believed to have been under the influence of a controlled substance when he decided to walk away.The child was found by the detective about one mile away from the vehicle the family had been staying in. (CNS) - An 80-year-old motorist was found dead today inside her crashed car at the bottom of an embankment alongside a dirt road near the Sycuan Casino.A hiker came upon the crumpled gold Lexus ES300 roughly a half-mile from the southern terminus of Sycuan Road in the rural Dehesa area about 8 a.m., according to the California Highway Patrol.The driver's name was withheld pending family notification. Her car apparently veered off an unpaved rural byway on the grounds of Sycuan Indian Reservation, careened down the adjacent hillside and struck a large oak tree."The Lexus was equipped with a lap- and shoulder-belt restraint system along with an airbag system," CHP public-affairs Officer Travis Garrow said this afternoon. "At this time, it does not appear the (motorist) was wearing her seat belt at the time of the (accident)."When the crash occurred was unclear, though a camera at a nearby guard shack captured images of the Lexus passing through the area about 2:30 p.m.Tuesday, according to Garrow.
