Oceanside Police sent an alert to residents which read in part, "Oceanside is being affected by heavy rain and flooding in the city. This will include intersection and several roadways. If the roadway appears unsafe you are being advised to not attempt to drive through that area. Users reported brief outages Monday morning with several Google-owned web services like Gmail and YouTube.According to Down Detector, a crowdsourced website where users report an outage of websites and other telecommunications issues, there was a spike in outages on several Google productivity clients like Gmail, Google Hangouts, Google Classroom and Google Drive at about 7 a.m. ET on Monday morning.As of about 7:45 a.m. ET, it appeared that many of those services had been restored.The issues with Google productivity tools came at a time when millions are relying on them to work or attend class remotely as the country continues to deal with the COVID-19 pandemic.Users reported that YouTube, which is owned by Google, also experienced an outage, as well as other YouTube services like YouTube TV and YouTube Music.It's currently unclear what caused the outages.This story is breaking and will be updated. 920

  

TUCSON, AZ - The United States Customs and Border Patrol says several agents were assaulted in two different incidents on Tuesday.Both incidents happened near the border, west of Tucson.In the first incident, agents were attempting to stop a human smuggling operation involving four male suspects. During the arrest attempt, one of the men became combative, according to Border Patrol.The 25-year-old Guatemalan national allegedly threw dirt at an agent’s face and swung a belt with a large buckle on it at an agent. After being taken into custody, the suspect also allegedly spit in an agent’s face.The three other suspects, including two illegal aliens and an Arizona man, were also arrested.In the second incident, Border Patrol says an agent was assaulted while attempting to arrest an illegal alien west of Three Points. The agent and a canine partner tracked the 36-year-old Guatemalan national into a desolate desert area. The man became combative and hit the agent several times, according to Border Patrol. The agent eventually took the man into custody. The suspect involved in the second assault was previously removed from the country in May for immigration violations. One agent was taken to a local hospital for evaluation and has been released.Border Patrol did not indicate which incident that agent was involved in. 1360

  

UPDATE, 4:06 P.M.: The fire is contained, Cal Fire San Diego reported.SAN DIEGO (CNS) - Fire officials Thursday said a brush fire that broke out on a hillside above Harbison Canyon and scorched 25 open acres is now 90 percent contained.The blaze erupted for unknown reasons in the 1900 block of Vista De La Montana in the Dehesa area at 3:47 p.m. Wednesday, according to Cal Fire.Deputies cleared people out of residences along that road and on Calle de Nicole as the flames spread, according to the San Diego County Sheriff's Department.Ground crews and personnel aboard firefighting helicopters and airplanes worked to subdue the flames, and had the fire's spread halted by 5:30 p.m. Wednesday, Cal Fire reported.RELATED: Two firefighters injured fighting blaze near El Cajon, Cal Fire saysAll evacuation orders were lifted around 6:45 p.m. Wednesday, according to the state agency.Two firefighters were treated at the scene for minor injuries, then immediately allowed to return to work, Cal Fire Capt.
