SAN DIEGO (KGTV) — A man who admitted to several "Peeping Tom" instances in the Pacific Beach area was sentenced Wednesday.James Wayne Hubbard, 48, was sentenced to 364 days in jail for the series of incidents between Sept. 11 and Oct. 12.Hubbard pleaded guilty to three counts of peeping and prowling as part of a plea deal. SAN DIEGO (KGTV) – A new program vows to help buy houses for teachers who are working on making it in San Diego.“It's not huge to a lot of people, but it's more space than we've ever had,” says Amy Noble as she takes us on a tour of the new house that she and her husband, Eric, bought in South Orange County. They’re high school educators and got married years ago, but home ownership seemed impossible for them. “The rent for apartments was so much that we really didn't have a good opportunity to save,” says Amy.RELATED: Making it in San Diego: Key saving steps helped renter buy her first home“We're the only private company right now that's focusing exclusively on educators,” says Nikki Lowy with Landed.Lowy says the company has already helped about 200 educators buy homes in expensive cities like Denver, Los Angeles and Seattle. Now, the company is making its way into San Diego.“[Teachers] are so important to the safety and well being and health of our communities and yet a lot of them don't see a future in the communities,” Lowy adds.Landed reportedly gives educators half the down payment for the house. In exchange, educators share 25 percent of the investment gain or loss with Landed. SAN DIEGO (KGTV) - A man carjacked two vehicles within hours in Otay Mesa, San Diego Police said Friday.The first carjacking happened in the parking lot of the Iris Trolley Station on Iris Ave. about 10:30 p.m. Thursday.A man was outside of his Volkswagen Jetta and a woman was sitting in the car when the suspect got into the driver’s seat, police said.The woman got out of the car and the suspect drove away, according to San Diego Police.Officers searched the area and found the suspect had parked the Jetta at Palm Ave. and Beyer Way and carjacked another car.Two men who were sitting in a Hyundai Genesis when the suspect grabbed the driver and pulled him out of the car. The passenger got out and the suspect drove away in the Genesis, officers said.The suspect crashed into a white SUV at I-805 and Sweetwater, police said.Paramedics took the driver, 33-year-old Daniel Perez, to the hospital with a knee injury. 927
