The "Queen of Soul" is in hospice care at her home, a source close to the singer told CNN's Don Lemon.Word of Aretha Franklin, 76, being gravely ill was first reported by Showbiz 411.Showbiz 411's Roger Friedman told CNN: "She has a great family, she's surrounded by love, and the world is sending prayers. The Arizona Poison and Drug Information Center have seen a spike in alcohol poisonings and hospitalizations across much of Arizona.The center services all counties except Maricopa, stating it has never seen so many in one month.¡°We see dozens of these per year, but never 22 in a month with hand sanitizers being the source of these hospitalizations," said Dr. Steve Dudley, director of the Arizona Poison and Drug Information Center.Since June 1, it has received 22 cases related to people drinking hand sanitizer. The center said many don't know the poisonous chemical methanol is inside.Dudley explained if hand sanitizer isn't mixed just right, it can create the toxic compound.¡°With COVID-19 and everyone is rushing to be prepared and stay stocked on hand sanitizer that's a left shortage. So, that's opened the door for either whole making of hand sanitizer or other companies or manufacturers being able to step in and fill that need,¡± explained Dr. Dudley.Dudley explained the effects of methanol might not be apparent right away, but could be deadly over time.¡°Methanol itself is not very toxic, it's what the body breaks methanol down into that causes all the toxicity,¡± he said.Signs and symptoms of methanol poisoning include:NauseaVomitingBlurry or hazy vision that could lead to permanent blindnessSeizuresDudley explained the reason some drink hand sanitizer.¡°Unfortunately, you know, it's an alcohol substitute, just like we see people who drink rubbing alcohol and attempts to get drunk. The Associated Press is reporting that six officers involved in the arrest of Freddy Gray ¡ª a young black man who died in the custody of Baltimore Police in 2015 ¡ª will not face federal charges.The U.S. Department of Justice announced Tuesday that the officers would not face charges from the federal government. Six officers were charged at the state level, three of which were acquitted. Three others had their cases dropped.Gray died on April 19, 2015, a week after he suffered a spinal injury while in custody after he was arrested for carrying a switchblade a week earlier.  597

The banana phone is back.A startup that licenses the Nokia phone brand has unveiled a new version of the 8110, a curved mobile phone that was first released in 1996 and featured in "The Matrix."The phone, which is offered in banana yellow and black, will sell for €79 (). It comes loaded with a new version of the game Snake, Finnish startup HMD said in a statement."This is a return to the glory years of Nokia," said Ian Fogg, senior analyst at IHS Markit. "But it also includes all the new technology."The 8110 comes with 4G, and a handful of apps including Google Maps, Facebook and Twitter. But it doesn't have a flashy operating system and users won't be able to download other popular apps.Fogg said that basic -- or "feature" -- phones are appealing because they are reliable, and can run for a long time on a single charge.
