(KGTV) — Key improvements are on the way to the iconic Imperial Beach pier.The Port of San Diego is reallocating .8 million to make the changes to the city's biggest attraction. The pier, built in 1989, replaced its predecessors that had been unable to withstand large waves brought by storms. By next year, the pier should get more benches, beach-themed art, improved railings with beach-themed messages, more infrastructure for fishers, and a marker at the spot that is the most southwesterly point in the continental U.S. In 2022, the pier could get shade structures and a cantilevered extension lounge."People love to come and walk on the pier," Dedina said. House Majority Leader Kevin McCarthy plans to introduce legislation this week that will fully fund President Donald Trump's proposed wall along the U.S.-Mexico border with a whopping .4 billion price tag, a spokesperson for the California Republican told CNN on Tuesday.The bill is still in the drafting process but is expected to be released within the next few days in the pro-forma session this week. The House remains in recess until mid-November, after the midterm elections, so the body would not consider the legislation for another month or so. She agreed, but during the drive, she says he fidgeted with his blinkers and asked her to exit the SUV to make sure they were working. She agreed, and that's when he took off, with her purse, wallet, and sunglasses.When she posted his photo on Facebook, she says she got a flood of responses: dozens of other women with similar stories of theft."One woman said, 'He told me he had a gift for me in the trunk, and as soon as I got out, he drove off with my purse and several hundred dollars,'" Elizabeth recalls. She says none of the women called police because the man told them he had friends in a cartel. She's hoping some of them will now come forward to stop the thief.    "He's not going to stop," Elizabeth said.
