Chad Daybell, the husband of a woman whose children have been missing since September, appeared in court on Wednesday after two sets of human remains were found on his property.During Wednesday's court appearance, prosecutor Rob Wood said the remains were those of 7-year-old Joshua "JJ" Vallow and 17-year-old Tylee Ryan, both of whom have been missing since September.Kay Woodcock, JJ's grandmother, also confirmed to East Idaho News that one set of the remains are those of her grandson's.Police have not yet publicly confirmed the identity of the remains.Daybell faces two counts of evidence destruction, alteration or concealment. His bail was set at million. Should Daybell make bail, he will be required to stay in certain parts of Idaho and will wear an ankle monitor. He also cannot have contact with the families of the victims. Daybell was arrested Tuesday shortly after police served a search warrant on his home in Idaho. Two criminal complaints allege Daybell willfully concealed or aided and abetted in the willful concealment of human remains, "knowing that said human remains were about to be produced, used and/or discovered as evidence in a felony proceeding, inquiry and/or investigation authorized by law, with the intent to prevent it from being so produced, used and/or discovered."Daybell is married to Lori Vallow, the mother of JJ and Tylee. She was arrested in Hawaii in connection with her children's disappearance on Feb. 20 and was extradited back to Idaho. She remained jailed despite several attempts to lower her bond.JJ and Tylee went missing in September, shortly after Daybell and Vallow married. Daybell's former wife, Tammy, died of what was believed to be natural causes shortly before Daybell and Vallow married. Carnival Cruise Lines announced Thursday that they are canceling several cruises until early 2021 due to COVID-19.In a press release, the cruise line company said that all P&O Cruises to the Caribbean were canceled until Jan. 2021, and cruises from and to Southampton, Arcadia, and Aurora were canceled through February.P&O Cruises is part of the Carnival Corporation.“With evolving restrictions on travel from the UK, unfortunately, it is necessary to cancel these itineraries," P&O Cruises president Paul Ludlow said in the news release. "These further cancellations vary according to ship as well as complexity and length of itineraries, advice, and guidance regarding ports of call and current air availability for fly/cruises. We are continuing to monitor the overall situation closely and will certainly reintroduce cruises should the opportunity arise, and it is feasible to do so.”Carnival also stated that they were delaying the return of Carnival Paradise, Carnival Magic, Carnival Valor, and the Carnival Spirit until next year "after scheduled dry dock enhancements are completed in the first half of 2021.""This extended pause in our operations has also impacted shipyard availability, and we've had to reschedule required dry docks," Christine Duffy, president of Carnival Cruise Line in the release. CARLSBAD, Calif. (KGTV) - The dollar value racked up by the Apple store bandits is now climbing toward the million-dollar mark.Surveillance images from an Apple store in Carlsbad in May show a group of men in hoodies walking in and immediately getting to work."They quickly grab the products on display near the front of the store," said Mark Herrring, coordinator of the San Diego County Crime Stoppers program.Investigators believe the same men hit the same store in June and several times in July."They flee the store, usually to a vehicle that is waiting for them," said Herring.The thieves have apparently shopped around for local targets.  Authorities released more images from a similar case at an Apple store at Westfield North County on July 9.  Detectives believe the local cases are linked to other grab-and-runs from across the state this year."Currently there are  approximately 30 cases throughout the state. CAMPO (CNS) - One person was killed today in a traffic crash involving an overturned semi-truck on State Route 94, the CHP said.The fatal crash happened at 12:06 p.m. Saturday when a semi-truck was reported on its side in the right shoulder of SR-94 west of Buckman Springs Road with no other vehicles involved, according to a California Highway Patrol incident log.Caltrans San Diego said all lanes of eastbound and westbound SR-94 were blocked and asked travelers to use an alternate route. The CHP said the freeway would probably be closed for a couple of hours while investigators look into the cause of the crash.No further information was available. 663

CARLSBAD, Calif. (KGTV) - A burglary victim is making a plea for the return of a priceless family heirloom after thieves forced open her front door and raided her Carlsbad home. Joanna Bradford returned home last Thursday and saw her front door open and damaged. "My heart started beating, immediately nervous and called police," said Bradford.Bradford eventually discovered a ransacked bathroom and bedroom. A new iPad and some jewelry had been stolen, including a gold-and-silver Omega watch belonging to her father, who passed away in 2013. He bought it in the 70s and wore it to work every day."I would put it on, look down, and see my dad. He was with me whenever I was wearing it," said Bradford.Bradford's Ring doorbell camera revealed clues about who made that watch vanish.Just before 10:30 a.m., a man wearing a blue shirt and sunglasses rings the doorbell with his knuckle. He then leaves and comes back with a backpack. That's when the motion-activated camera stops.In the next video, that man and another man are seen emerging from the home with backpacks, before getting into a vehicle, possibly a light-colored GMC Acadia SUV, and driving off.
