SAN DIEGO (KGTV) — Five of California's 10 largest fires ever are still burning.The largest of the state's wildfires, the August Complex fire, is now California's largest wildfire on record, burning 471,185 acres since Aug. 17. SAN DIEGO (KGTV) -- Former San Diego deputy Richard Fischer has been released from jail months after being sentenced to nearly four years in jail after pleading guilty to multiple assault charges. According to the San Diego County Sheriff's Department, Fischer was released earlier in May on custody credits. "On May 15, 2020 the San Diego County Sheriff's Department received an order from the Superior Court setting forth the custody credits for Richard Fischer," the department said. Fischer was sentenced to 44 months in jail in December of 2019, followed by 16 months of post-release supervision after pleading guilty to four felony counts of assault under the color of authority, two misdemeanor counts of assault under the color of authority, and one misdemeanor count of false imprisonment. The charges stemmed from attacks on 16 women, City News Service previously reported. Fischer was accused of assaulting women while on duty between 2015 and 2017. The victims said Fischer groped, hugged or tried to kiss them. Fischer originally faced 20 felony and misdemeanor charges. San Diego ranked third on the list of housing markets seeing the biggest slowdown. San Jose and San Francisco, two markets also known for their high costs of living, places first and second on the list The report shows that conditions in San Diego’s market are favoring buyers more than they did a year ago. RELATED: Home prices rise, sales plungeMore than 20 percent of homes for sale in America’s Finest City had a price cut in January of 2019, compared with only 12.4 percent of homes that saw a cut in January of 2018. Of the homes that have sold, 95.7 percent sell for their listing price. At this time last year, 97.7 percent of homes sold for their list price. The amount of time it takes to sell homes is also on the rise. In 2018, homes sold in 60 days, including time to close, Zillow reports. So far this year, homes are selling in 75 days. LEGO "Master Builder" Jessica Ewud is passing along her creative knowledge through virtual LEGO art classes. "To keep the kids occupied," says Ewud. "While they are stuck inside during this pandemic with nothing to do."Ewud is a professional artist who was looking to transform her art in a creative way. Then one night, she had a dream she created an Abraham Lincoln made out of LEGO. She thought the idea was so brilliant, she went out and got the materials to make it."I'd always thought of Lego as a kids toy, but as an artist, I was looking at it differently. I was looking at it as an art medium," she said.Her art creations got her noticed, and she was chosen to participate in the competition show, LEGO Masters, where she became a show finalist.
