(KGTV) - Two Sheriff's deputies are under an internal review after video surfaced of an arrest in the North County this week.A 911 call was made Monday from a woman on Madera Lane, who said she was a domestic violence victim and being held against her will, according to the San Diego Sheriff's Department. Deputies responded and said they ultimately arrested Gerardo Martinez Jr., 23, and 50-year-old Gerardo Martinez Sr.MAP: Track crime happening in your neighborhoodThe younger was booked on charges including false imprisonment, assault with a deadly weapon, and disobeying a court order. SDSO charged Martinez Sr. with obstructing a public officer and removing someone from the lawful custody of a peace officer, though he has bailed out of custody.Video of the arrest, however, soon landed at least two deputies involved with the arrest in hot water.The footage posted on social media showed one of the men being led away in handcuffs before a deputy appears to shove him into a fence. The man's face is slammed into the wooden fence before the deputy leads him away.At the same time, four other deputies hold the second man to the ground, one of them appears to repeatedly strike the man in the head. It isn't clear if the man on the ground was also handcuffed or whether the deputy struck the man with a closed fist or open hand.Two deputies have been placed on administrative assignment, pending an internal investigation, SDSO said Wednesday. Investigators will be looking at body-worn camera and interviews with those involved in the incident."As we continue to gather and evaluate the facts of this case, the internal review might change in scope. VISTA, Calif. (KGTV) - Video of a violent arrest by San Diego Sheriff’s Deputies in Vista has renewed calls for better community engagement by local law enforcement.Rev. Shane Harris said that push was galvanized last July after Jonathon Colonel was shot and killed by a Deputy after a foot pursuit.While the Sheriff’s Department said Colonel was a documented gang member, he was not armed at the time of the shooting. His family said he was shot 17 times. WASHINGTON (AP) — A federal judge on Thursday halted a deportation in progress and threatened to hold Attorney General Jeff Sessions in contempt if the mother and daughter weren't returned to the U.S.U.S. District Judge Emmet G. Sullivan of Washington learned in court that the two plaintiffs in a lawsuit before him were being removed from the United States and confirmed later that they were on a plane headed to Central America. He said any delay in bringing them back would be intolerable.If they fail to comply, the judge said, Sessions, Homeland Security Secretary Kirstjen Nielsen and other senior Homeland Security officials would have to convince him not to hold them in contempt of court.The Department of Homeland Security was bringing the pair back to the United States on Thursday after the plane landed in El Salvador. VOLUSIA COUNTY, Fla. -- Michael Yager says he was outraged after learning his son, Jacob, bullied multiple classmates at New Smyrna Beach Middle School in Volusia County, Florida. "I figured I would teach him a lesson that would embarrass him and make him feel the way kids feel," he said.Wanting to teach his 13-year-old a lesson the frustrated father took an unorthodox approach. "I wrote the sign, I'm a bully. Honk if you hate bullies." Yager drove his son to nearby State Route 442 and parked him on a busy corner.His son had to hold the sign high."Embarrassed and kind of nervous," Jacob admitted.He says it did not take long for people to start honking.  Some even stopped to talk to father and son."I had Edgewater Police stop by, I had Volusia County Sheriffs. I had a good response from the neighborhood," Jacob's father said.But he acknowledged not everyone agrees with his parenting. "I had one woman come up and call me every name in the book. "How do you respond to parents who say putting your son out on the road is, in fact, bullying your own son?" he was asked."In my mind, I was doing the right thing, but I guess you cannot please everybody," Michael Yager said. A recent staggering statistic shows one out of every five students report being bullied. Jacob said he has learned a valuable lesson. "You never know what someone can be going through. VISTA (CNS) - A professional photographer who sexually assaulted four teenage girls during modeling sessions at a rented Carlsbad residence where he had set up a temporary studio was sentenced to 25 years in state prison Friday.Robert Koester, 52, pleaded guilty last month to 23 felonies related to raping and inappropriately touching the teens -- some of whom were drugged and unconscious during the abuse -- as well as creating child pornography of the girls.Koester also faces federal charges locally, as well as charges in his home state of Oregon, where he's accused of assaulting additional victims.RELATED: Modeling photographer pleads guilty to sex crimes against teenagersDeputy District Attorney Dan Owens said the investigations against Koester began with one of his local victims, identified in court only as Jane Doe 1, who came forward regarding the abuse and "put a stop" to his ongoing crimes. Based on her statements, Koester was arrested Nov. 13, 2018, in Carlsbad."The victims in this case showed extraordinary strength in coming forward and speaking out against this man who victimized them," according to Owens, who said the case has had "a tremendous impact on the victims who were involved in this case, not only them, but their families."Koester, who had been hired as a contract worker by Carlsbad-based Frank Model Management, raped and took nude photographs of the girls, whose ages ranged from 15 to 17 during the San Diego County incidents.
