The grandmother of a missing 5-year-old Dickson, Tennessee boy said she has been cooperating with law enforcement after her stepson was arrested for his death.Belle Daniels spoke to Scripps station WTVF in Nashville the night several vigils were being held for her grandson, Joe Clyde Daniels."Right now, we’re feeling that it’s a nightmare, and we’re hoping to get closure soon," said Belle. The boy, who had autism and was nonverbal, was first reported missing by his parents the morning of April 4.Hundreds of volunteers and law enforcement agencies responded to help search for the boy, but on Saturday, the rescue search turned into a recovery effort.Investigators with the Tennessee Bureau of Investigation and the Dickson County Sheriff's Office said 28-year-old Joseph Daniels confessed to killing his son and hiding his body. “It’s shocking because you raise a child from way back, and you think you know him. You don’t think your child could kill his own baby," said Belle. Belle said she was with her husband in Texas because he is a truck driver. That's when they heard that their grandson disappeared.“When we found out about it, my heart just sunk. We didn’t know what was going on, and when they couldn’t get leads, I thought somebody abducted him," she added. She returned on Friday right before he was arrested for one count of criminal homicide. She said she doesn't know why her son would commit the alleged crime. “We’re doing the best we can do, and I want people to know from the bottom of my heart I appreciate everything that law enforcement, churches, and all of the media that has done for us," Belle said.On Sunday, a smaller group of search crews continued to search for the child's remains.Sheriff Jeff Bledsoe scaled back efforts to give crews much needed rest.He said the search will continue with local special response teams on Monday, and they will assess areas needing to be covered. 1966

The Pentagon has sent more than 300,000 pounds of Thanksgiving food to US military troops stationed overseas and at the US southern border, the Defense Logistics Agency announced Tuesday.The shipments, which include 9,738 whole turkeys and 67,860 pounds of shrimp, were sent to dining facilities throughout the Middle East, Europe, Africa as well as field kitchens in Texas and Arizona."Many of America's military men and women are away from home this Thanksgiving, making sacrifices to secure our freedom and to protect our southern border," Army Brig. The New York attorney general is investigating the parent company of MoviePass, a source familiar with the probe confirmed to CNN Business.The state is looking into whether Helios and Matheson (HMNY) misled investors about its finances, the source said. The investigation is being conducted under New York's Martin Act, an anti-fraud and investor protection law. The existence of the probe was first reported Wednesday by CNBC.The movie subscription service exploded in popularity last year when it began offering customers the ability to watch as many movies in theaters as they wanted for per month. But that business model proved unsustainable, and the company has since changed its subscription plans and pricing as well as the number of movies it makes available to its customers.As the company's troubles worsened this year, its stock price also cratered.Helios and Matheson stock was trading at an all-time high of nearly a share in October 2017. Now the stock is trading at 2 cents — and that's after the company approved a reverse split to boost the price 250-fold earlier this summer.Nasdaq has even warned Helios and Matheson that it could delist the stock.Helios and Matheson and MoviePass did not respond to requests for comment Wednesday.The company is wrestling with other problems as well.Board member Carl Schramm, an economist and Syracuse University professor, recently quit his job and claimed that executives mismanaged the business and withheld crucial information from the board.Purported stockholders have filed two federal class-action complaints against Helios and Matheson in August, claiming the company made "materially false or misleading" statements to the market. The company said at the time that it intended to "vigorously defend" itself and believed the complaints were "without merit."Last month, the company filed new paperwork with the Securities and Exchange Commission indicating that it was going to ask shareholders to vote on another reverse split — one that this time could increase the stock by as much as 500-fold.That meeting was scheduled to happen Thursday.
