Presidential physician Dr. Sean Conley released an update on President Donald Trump’s coronavirus prognosis on Thursday, stating that he has “remained stable and devoid of any indications to suggest progression of illness.”Trump was diagnosed with the coronavirus late Thursday night, just hours after traveling to New Jersey for a fundraiser. The following day, Trump was admitted to Walter Reed Medical Center as he was given an experimental antibody treatment, steroids, and other remedies to fight off the coronavirus.By Monday, Conley and Trump’s medical team signed off on releasing him to the White House.Conley said on Thursday he expects Trump to be able to resume public engagements on Saturday.“Since returning home, his physical exam remained stable and devoid of any indications to suggest progression of illness,” Conley wrote in a report. “Overall, he’s responded extremely well to treatment, without evidence on examination of adverse therapeutic effects. Saturday will be day 10 since Thursday’s diagnosis, and based on the trajectory of advanced diagnostics the team has been conducting, I fully anticipate the president’s safe return to public engagements at that time.”The CDC has a recommended minimum isolation period of 10 days for coronavirus patients, although the isolation period may take as long as 20 days depending on the severeness of the illness. While Trump has not left the White House complex since returning home on Monday, he left the residence portion of the facility on Wednesday and Thursday, working out of the Oval Office among a small group of advisers. The White House has been dealing with a cluster of coronavirus cases, now confirmed to be in the dozens, affecting aides, assistants, visitors and journalists in the White House. On Thursday, the White House Correspondents Association announced its fourth White House journalist has tested positive for the virus in the last week.Key aides, including Hope Hicks, Stephen Miller and press secretary Kayleigh McEnany, continue to recover from the virus.Trump’s medical team has come under fire for not releasing info on when exactly it was first known when Trump showed signs of infection. While it was believed that the president was being tested frequently for the coronavirus, the White House refuses to answer when Trump’s last negative coronavirus test was. 2363

Rancho Bernardo, Calif. (KGTV) – Sheriff’s investigators and San Diego Police Detectives worked together to arrest three men after a series of small business burglaries in the Poway and Rancho Bernardo area.Robbers shattered the glass doors of Tony Pepperoni early Sunday morning and stole the restaurant’s safe."I was just happy it was at 5 a.m., and nobody was here and everyone's safe," said Sarah Dean, the manager of the pizza place. She said security cameras caught the burglary on camera.Pattaya Thai, the restaurant right across the street, was also broken into early Sunday morning.Dean believed the same thieves robbed both restaurants, which are in Rancho Carmel Village Center. The next break in the case came from more than three miles away in 4S Ranch on Sunday afternoon when a neighbor reported loud noise coming from behind the Boys and Girls Club. When deputies arrived, they found three men trying to crack the Tony Pepperoni’s safe.Sheriff’s investigators and SDPD detectives arrested and questioned Da'Shon Morales, 20, Jesus Ruiz Arias Jr., 19, and Fernando Vazquez Cruz, 20, on Sunday night in connection with burglary, possession of stolen property and other crimes. 1206

RANCHO SANTA FE (KGTV): As the costs to grow avocado and citrus keep rising, farmers in San Diego are trying a new crop to put a jolt in their business: coffee."We’re excited about the possibilities," says Chuck Badger, who runs R.E. Badger and Sons. He's planted about 5,000 coffee plants across several farms that his business manages."The plants are very happy. They’ve got a lot of cherries on them. So we’re super excited for this summer to pick it."Badger says he heard about the possibilities of coffee from growers in Ventura County. San Diego's coastal climate and soil are similar to other coffee producing regions. The timing couldn't be better. In addition to dealing with the lingering drought, many farmers are getting frustrated with the rising production costs of avocado and citrus trees. They're looking for ways to diversify their crops.Badger says the upfront costs of coffee are a little higher, but the profit margins can be much better. He told 10News that coffee needs about 900 trees planted per acre, while citrus uses only 150.But, if the coffee grades out as a "premium" brand, farmers could net as much as ,000 per acre. Citrus and avocado trees bring in anywhere from ,000 to ,000 an acre, depending on the yield and other market factors.Leaders with the San Diego County Farm Bureau are excited about the potential as well, but caution that coffee is still in an "experimental" phase in the area."Nobody's all in at this point," says Executive Director Eric Larson. He points out that San Diego has around 50,000 acres of total farmland. Larson guesses that coffee makes up less than 20 total acres right now."Folks are seeing if it’s going to work here before they make a future decision to be all in," says LarsonHe says it could be a good crop to plant in conjunction with other established crops, doubling up acreage to increase profits.Badger thinks San Diego could become coffee country, in the same way Napa is known for wine."We want to model it after the whole wine growing template, where people are asking for certain varietals, certain regions, organic," he says. "So those coffee snobs become like those wine snobs and will pay for premium coffee."Badger won't be able to harvest any of his beans until next summer. He's looking forward to seeing how it all plays out."If you look at what the world wants and what people are spending money on, I think it will be a good thing." 2447

President Donald Trump signed the .3 trillion spending bill to keep the federal government open Friday, then excoriated Congress for passing the plan in the first place.Earlier Friday, the President threatened to veto the measure over concerns it does not include a solution for recipients of the Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals program or sufficient funding for a border wall."I am considering a VETO of the Omnibus Spending Bill based on the fact that the 800,000 plus DACA recipients have been totally abandoned by the Democrats (not even mentioned in Bill) and the BORDER WALL, which is desperately needed for our National Defense, is not fully funded," Trump tweeted just before 9 a.m. on Friday. The missive sent White House officials and Republican leaders on Capitol Hill scurrying to ensure that Trump would still sign the omnibus spending bill, which top White House officials promised just a day earlier Trump would sign. The massive spending package marks the end of a months-long funding stalemate in which lawmakers were forced to pass one short-term spending bill after another to stave off a shutdown. The package includes more than just money to fight the opioid epidemic, pay the military and fund more than billion in infrastructure projects. It also includes policy changes like one that would incentivize states to enter more records into the country's gun background check system and another that would cut off aid to the Palestinian Authority until Palestinians cease making payments to the families of terrorists.Spotted in the West Wing on Friday by CNN shortly after Trump's tweet, Marc Short, the White House legislative affairs director, struck an assured tone when asked if the government would shut down over Trump's veto threat."I think we'll be OK," he said.  1814
