LONDON, Oct. 21 (Xinhua) -- Tourism visas for visitors to Britain from China are to be valid for two years as from 2016, Prime Minister David Cameron announced Wednesday.
Chinese President Xi Jinping will pay a state visit to the United States from Sept. 22 to 25 at the invitation of U.S. President Barack Obama. Starting on Sept.10 and through October, Xinhua is wiring a series of in-depth stories on China-U.S. relations and the historic visit.
"China will continue to stick to the opening-up strategy featuring mutual benefit and win-win results, and integrate its own development with world peace, prosperity and development," he said.
China and Britain have led the way in a number of areas in terms of bilateral relations, said Xi, labeling Britain as the first major Western country to recognize new born People's Republic of China (PRC) and the first European Union (EU) member to establish a comprehensive strategic partnership with China.
Many officials and experts in both nations believe that the Asia-Pacific region should become a "testing ground" for the task.
