(KGTV) - Vietnam War veterans are being honored at the 2017 Miramar Air Show.One of the most special tributes will be the Mobile Vietnam Memorial Wall, cared for by Point Man Antelope Valley (PMAV), a veterans outreach organization that ministers to veterans of all wars.It's a half-scale size tribute monument of the Vietnam War Memorial in Washington, D.C. More than four and a half million children live in a home with an unlocked, loaded gun. Three out of 4 of those kids know where the firearms are kept in their house.The “End Family Fire” campaign released this week highlights the importance of safe gun storage in a home in order to keep children safe.Every day, 8 children and teens--ages 19 and under--are unintentionally shot by weapons that are found in the home.Hector Adames' nephew, Joshua, was one of them.“Joshua was shot in the stomach; [it] went through his stomach,” says Adames. “And unfortunately, when Joshua went down, he never got back up.”Kyleanne Hunter, with the Brady Center to Combat Gun Violence says it’s a tragedy that could be prevented by properly storing weapons.The nonprofit organization is the group behind the “End Family Fire” campaign. MILWAUKEE, Wisconsin — The parents of a 9-year-old Milwaukee girl shot and killed by her brother over the weekend have been criminally charged.Marcel Antonio Jelks, 32, and Talisha Lee, 29 both faces charges. Jelks has been charged with child neglect resulting in death and possession of a firearm by a felon. Lee has been charged with child neglect resulting in death, and furnishing a firearm to a felon.According to Milwaukee Police's preliminary investigation, Miyanna was accidentally shot by her brother — who is a minor — in their home in the 4500 block of North 38th Street just after noon on Saturday. She was brought to a local hospital where she was pronounced dead. Police say the brother was been taken to the Milwaukee County Children's Court Center. "She was a beautiful, young girl. She was smart, intelligent. She was just 9 years old," said Jay Jones, a family friend.Jones said seven children live in the house with their mom and dad and he doesn't believe the father knew their was a gun inside the house."They are not the type of people to put their kids in no type of danger or anything like that," he said.If convicted, Lee faces 25 years in prison. MILWAUKEE, Wisc. — A Milwaukee County Supervisor has issued an apology after he used a song by rapper Cardi B to promote a weatherization program.Supervisor Ryan Clancy apologized and stated that his Facebook post "landed badly" after he used a photo of Cardi B and Megan Thee Stallion from the music video for the song"WAP" to promote the Weatherization Assistance Program.According to the Milwaukee County website, the program provides qualified Milwaukee County residents with a one-time annual payment toward heating and electric bills.The song includes the line "there's some wh**es in this house." In text overlaid on the still from the music video, Clancy wrote, "there's some holes in this house," referencing the need to weatherize homes before it gets too cold.Clancy made another connection to the song by abbreviating the Weatherization Assistance Program as "WAP."Following the post from Clancy, the weatherization program asked Clancy to take down his post because it didn't read well to some viewers.Clancy did just that and posted a comment on top of the original post, and deleted the photo.Clancy said he initially used the photo in an effort to "draw attention to both this excellent program and to a song which has at its core a message about empowerment, reclaiming and destigmatization." 1317
