VIENNA, Nov. 14 (Xinhua) -- China on Saturday proposed a comprehensive ceasefire in Syria, calling on the international community to take united efforts to fight against terrorism in any form.
Speaking to reporters prior to Xi's visit, Mugabe has said he is elated to host "the greatest friend we have in the international community."
Xi, who proposed the upgrade one day earlier at the opening session of the second summit of the Forum on China-Africa Cooperation (FOCAC), made the announcement before the landmark two-day gathering draws to an end.
He said the Chinese side stands ready to enhance coordination and cooperation with Singapore within regional and global mechanisms like the United Nations.
The high frequency of meetings between the two countries' leaders has also offered a glimpse into the increasingly warm relations between Beijing and Seoul amid their burgeoning trade.
