Rioters torched a Georgia Tech police car Monday night as students protested the death of 21-year-old Scout Schultz, who was shot and killed by a Georgia Tech police officer Saturday night.After a vigil for Schultz Monday evening, a smaller group of about 50 protesters marched to the Georgia Tech Police Department. Right now, thousands of people are without power on the Gulf Coast, and the relentless rains and remnants of what was Hurricane Sally is now soaking the Carolinas and moving northeast.In hard-hit Alabama, where the storm first struck land as a Category 2 Hurricane, debris-laced waters have taken over once-thriving neighborhoods. SACRAMENTO, Calif. (KGTV) -- A new California bill would require some retailers to have gender neutral floor space inside their stores, Politico reports. The bill, called Assembly Bill 2826, was introduced by Assemblymember Evan Low, a Democrat from Campbell. According to Politico, retailers would be able to sell the same products, as long as they dedicate space where customers can find clothes and toys regardless of whether the items have been marketed to boys or girls. “Keeping similar items that are traditionally marketed either for girls or for boys separated makes it more difficult for the consumer to compare the products and incorrectly implies that their use by one gender is inappropriate,” the bill states.
