The discussion brings up a difficult topic and 10News is digging into some of the pros and cons of cremation. Last year, a door was left open at Cortez Cremations in National City, forcing thick, black smoke out of the building. People in San Marcos are worried something similar could happen in their neighborhood. Even though headlines like these are attention-grabbing, there are lots of pros to cremation, according to Security National. Check out some of the pros below: Cremation costs less. According to Security National, an average burial costs between ,000 and ,000, but cremation can be a third of the cost. Cremation can be simpler and quicker. Cremation may be easier for families who live far away when death occurs, allowing memorial services to be postponed until family members can be present. Although there are pros, there are also cons for families weighing their options. (CNN) -- Target's revamped loyalty program is ready for its nationwide debut.Target Circle will be available to shoppers in the United States beginning October 6. Program perks include earning 1% on Target purchases, personalized deals and early access to its sales. The launch follows an 18-month test in six cities that garnered 2 million members.The expansion of the loyalty program complements Target's branded credit card, Redcard, which only a quarter of its customers use. It also replaces Cartwheel, a separate discount program, in an attempt to offer a "more seamless, intuitive shopping experience."The program is free. Target will begin automatically enrolling members that have Target.com and Redcard accounts. To use it, customers can swipe a barcode from the Target app or provide their phone number at checkout.The company has said earlier this year that Target Circle also gives the company more data about shopping habits. For example, if Target knows a shopper frequently buys diapers and baby products, it could email the customer an offer for diapers."This will help Target build a more complete picture of shoppers," said Neil Saunders, managing director at GlobalData Retail previously told CNN Business. (KGTV) — A rapidly-spreading wildfire tore through thousands of acres in Northern California Thursday, as strong winds and low humidity brought a red flag warning to the region.The Camp Fire sparked at about 6:30 a.m. in the Pulga area, near Paradise, Calif., in Butte County. Within a few hours, the blaze had charred at least 5,000 acres.By 7 p.m. Thursday, the fire had reached 20,000 acres. Lt. Gov. Gavin Newsom, who is currently acting governor with Gov. Jerry Brown out of the state, has declared a state of emergency in Northern California.RELATED: Fire crews preparing for Red Flag Warning, serious fire dangerCal Fire officials say "strong winds are moving the fire quickly," creating rapid spread and tough conditions for crews fighting back flames.Evacuation orders have been issued for Paradise, Magalia, Concow, Butte Creek Canyon and Butte Valley due to the massive fire, forcing at least tens of thousands of residents to leave.
