SHANGHAI, Sept. 28 (Xinhua) -- China, Japan and the Republic of Korea (ROK) on Monday agreed to deepen their all-round cooperative partnership.     The agreement came at the end of a day-long foreign ministers' meeting in Shanghai, involving Chinese Foreign Minister Yang Jiechi, Japanese Foreign Minister Katsuya Okada and ROK Foreign Affairs and Trade Minister Yu Myung Hwan. The three countries will build stronger strategic mutual trust, deepen and upgrade cooperation, carry out people-to-people exchanges and promote east Asia cooperation and regional peace and development, said a statement issued after the meeting. BEIJING, Aug. 6 (Xinhua) -- Chinese Premier Wen Jiabao on Thursday personally conveyed National Day greetings to elderly scientists who have made prominent contributions to atomic and medical research.     China's National Day this year will commemorate the 60th anniversary of the founding of modern China. Premier Wen first visited Zhu Guangya, a nuclear physicist and one of the key scientists engaged in producing the first of China's atomic and hydrogen bombs between the 1950s and 1960s.     "You have devoted your whole life to the development of the country and service to the people. We will remember you with concern forever," Wen told 85-year-old Zhu. NAIROBI, Aug. 26 (Xinhua) -- A visiting Chinese Tibetologist delegation on Wednesday gave Kenyan lawmakers an insight into Tibet and its issues.     Shes-rab-nyi-ma, vice president of China's Central University for Nationalities and head of the Chinese delegation, introduced the basic facts of Tibet, the origin of the "Tibetan issue," the efforts the Chinese government has taken to develop the local economy and to protect the indigenous language and culture, and the system of regional autonomy for ethnic minorities in China.     Legislator Ahmed Shakeel Shabeer said many Kenyan lawmakers didn't know much about Tibet before and most of them had been influenced by western media on the Tibetan issue due to their British-style education.
